Hey, Steemians!
In the last few days, parts of Europe struggled with the cold weather and heavy snowfall. It reminded us of our trip to Bratislava just a few months ago when, as luck would have it, the temperature dropped significantly. It didn’t prevent us from going out and checking the sights, but it didn’t help either. The good thing, though, was that the snow added some life to the otherwise grey landscape.
A cool spot to get some views is the Slavin War Memorial, a monument dedicated to fallen Soviet soldiers who helped liberate the town during the WWII. This place doesn’t get much attention in the winter and it’s away from the usual tourist spots. From the top of the hill, you can see half of Bratislava, but the castle definitely takes the number one spot!
