Nature of Things
Lifeless, colourless, stripped bare that is the feeling once the wall started losing it's clothing of many years, alas necessary by state of decay of man-made wall took a turning for the worse.
Hide and seek through leaves, months of flowering tried to save rooting to hopefully survive once again. Precast wall was here when we arrived, my dislike of them I planted jamine to cover with croton to bring in some vibrant colour.
Oh, that was many years ago, not venturing into undergrowth mostly hoped for the best. Alas high winds ripped through a portion open to elements, forcing my hand to look for replacement.
Completely exposed, my heart aches, realization of many years enjoyment, beauty abounding for myself and feathered friends now vulnerable. Cement and rock retainer build also done before we arrived, will have to check how secure they are now as well.
Tiny star shaped flowers with perfume delightful on air hopefully finds the strength in Spring to shoot up and grow once more.
Now wall brazenly naked, waiting for palisade to arrive as manufacturer ran out of all pieces required, hopefully by end of week this task is ticked off the list.
Week ended on a half and half, completed some planned tasks set aside. Nothing is straight forward, Municipality will require another visit with so many new requirements to hand each time one goes to learn more needs to be done, (no use phoning, they simply don't answer, or know what you talking about).
Wall half prepared, then abandoned for another, hopefully this week with palisade arriving, will be done and dusted, then I can settle back into something resembling _'normal'. _
Enjoy your new week to One and All.
