https://youtu.be/PXA2wMN4CSE At the edge of our Southern California backyard, I cultivated part of a muddy "wash," which is a semi-dry watercourse that temporarily and seasonally flows after sufficient rainfall, so that the water eases into a mini-waterfall on its way through our property. We call this area "The Quiet Waters," since the faint and pleasant sound of a small, flowing stream can be heard at times. As stated in Psalms 23:2, "He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters."
It is in this peaceful part of our backyard that I created this car-themed installation. The main car artwork on 4 panels has an underpainting by my daughter, Anna, which I drew on top of with chalk. Part of the installation includes toy cars with flowers, peppercorns, and chalk designs added to the paint job. I also drew cars on three fig leaves with chalk and marker.
Creating art outdoors is almost always a joyride of fun. I hope you appreciate cruising the Quiet Water Wheels too!
