Christchurch Restoration City: Those words gave me something to think about knowing I stood at a city that was left in ruin by the 2011 earthquake.
I recently experienced the Tasman-Nelson flooding, which was my first natural disaster experience, and it wasn't nice, so it gave me a bit of perspective of what the people of Christchurch went through in the 2011 earthquake.
Years has gone by and the city is on an ongoing restoration process as seen from the photos I couldn't get better shots but also maybe its a good thing as it reminds me of the ongoing restoration of Christchurch, a city that I really like and feel at home at despite my numerous different cities travel in the South Island.
On the other side is my entry for last week as these murals give life and hope to the city in a vibrant way.
With this portrait of a woman with angel wings, the city hopes that it will thrive again, and it is my entry to this week's contest.
