I LoVermont

I mean what's not to Love? It's New England's Vibey, flannel drenched, Green State, where everything looks like windows XP desktop, maybe with some sort of "rustic" theme applied.

Even the many gas station mini-marts have a a somehow differentiated look from their ubiquitousy convenient neighbors, in New Hampshire.

I have always enjoyed road trips to the Green Mountains. The first time I saw purple weed was over in Burlington, plus who didn't like the cheerios commercial about Montpelier?

Vermonters produce much of the nations cheese and maple syrup, which you'll find traveling through its many small yet vibrant towns encountered when traveling its many windey mountain roads. One may even see moose, fox bears and goofy spin doctor hats

plus Lake Champaign even has a beloved Sea Monster.

As an avid Alpiner, Ill tell you that Vermont is a great state to get high on ski lifts in.

New England SKIERS and Riders tend to like weed which is understandable and a good match as

VT legal shops have great apres-rolls available slopeside.

In fairness neighboring NH's visitors cann also get stateside doobs, but sadly they're more than likely going to be d(elt)a-nk nuggz. You know, "that gas" vs. "that gas station".

20250503_145532.jpg

Summers in VT are great, with lots of hiking and weed and maple syrup everywhere. Beer drinkers like the sometimes available Heady Topper and other IPA cult craftivators.

Vt. legal cannabis was a hard faught battle but they did ultimately get a legal program and now the legal shops are stacking up. It has escalated to the point where they're even having NECANN events in, most recently, Essex Junction.

20250503_145508.jpg

NECANN VT is somewhat less developed than the big Boston show, but the VT is a great event and a perfect opportunity to meet the local folks and of course check out the canbabis operations coming out of Vermont.

20250503_132716.jpg

Essex Junction is nearby to Burlington VT. Once a vibrant bohemian paradise, Burlington has suffered some losses in the past few years with a growing population of folks struggling with both addiction and homelessness, as well as an overall rise in crime and public disturbances.

Cannabis has been looked to for help to bridge gaps and calm the troubled waters of unblanced municipal budgets. Data suggest that over time, legal cannabis leads to lower admisins into treatment centers.

States where investment into legal cannabis has done well, also have impoved schools and social programs in addition to, in some number of ways, being a boost to local economies.

Much of the Vermont's geography is rural and serves as farmland, lending itself well to the states home growers, as many of the folks here are well acquainted with at least one aspect of some form of industrial agriculture.

20250603_115004.jpg

Industrially Vermont is well known for its dairy cows which produce humite rich fertilizer. If you are looking for good shit "cheap",

Man-ure in the right place.

It is always exciting to see folks launching products at events like NECANN, and where the VT legal community is still in it's first few years of the rollout, there is plenty of opportunity to get into the arena, at close to the ground level.

20250503_122003.jpg

I was already familiar with Tim Egan of NHCANN, but didn't know he was involved with Norml VT and was great to spend some time talkng with him about VT Cannabis and also with whats going on in Concord NH with legal cannabis legislation.

20250503_115636.jpg

I was also excited to see that Caleb Teske of The Fine Print had made it out to Essex Jct. Caleb is a Vermonter well known for his investigative journalism and sometimes critical coverage of those involved with Vermont Legal Cannabis.

20250503_113543.jpg

My dude Gary from Print Quest was in the house for sure, and had brought equipment to print cannabis stickers, right from his booth. Gary is a super good dude and his company can print labels or get folks set up to print their own, in-house.

20250503_132130.jpg

Also met TY Grant who represents a California based company involved with terpene extraction and analysis hardware. These shows are great in that they bring together folks from so many fields and backgrounds. Cannabis as an economy is multi faceted and involves more or less every existing industry to some degree.

One of the most important pieces of legal cannabis, at least from a liberty perspective, is allowance for home grow. Growing Cannabis well isnt easy but those who practice its art, find it very rewarding. Cannabis is first food, and the growing of ones food is a revoltionary act.

20250701_193608.jpg

Homegrow also opens the market for garden supply shops that focus on growing cannabis in any variety of methods.

20250627_140052.jpg

Because of the northeast's climate, outfitting indoor gardens op.s and Being able to access specific nutrients is essential to folks looking to get growing.

20250503_124816.jpg

Zen Barn Farms definitely was in the house. They brought with them a whole Soundstage and had an amazing booth. They had a dj on the entire show playing reggae and the set was awesome.

20250503_132015.jpg

It was a great backdrop to all the networking going down.

20250503_131544.jpg

NECANN VT was largely Cannabis free but i did find The Official Vermont Skunk and so weed id have a session in the parking lot
