My friend and I woke up at 4.30am and quickly hopped on our mopeds...we really didn't want to miss it. Driving down the empty, dark streets, we finally made it to the temples in Bagan, Myanmar. It was pretty quiet but soon people came flocking to join us to make the climb up one of the temples, to sit right at the top. Then the sun started to rise on the horizon, we all fell silent and something magical happened. 50 hot air balloons rose in the air and started their journey from West to East. It seemed as though the world was totally at peace.
