Take this poem, I want you to have Something of mine...
Something
More than words,
But words alone Are the art I design.
When I sit down to write I picture you As a series of gestures, A palette of colours;
And you become A jumbled mosaic Of feelings—
Images Like tropical fish Swim in the bathysphere Inside my head;
They pixelate Coalesce... Into the idea of you.
And from this poetry I make a jewelry Of words for you,
Drawn From your essence To flash and burn with fire,
To glow brighter Than diamond stars;
Until all will see Even in darkest night,
How you bedazzle And sparkle With your own light.
