What can I do when things have gotten this bad on my farm? The sight is so distressing that I can barely take a look at it π’
Itβs hard to believe that the once-flourishing farm, which I had so much hope for π±, has become a source of despair due to an extended period of drought. This drought is lasting longer than it should βοΈ.
Every year, we experience a certain level of drought during our farming period, typically lasting only a week or two. However, when it extends beyond that, it becomes a real problem.
We are now holding onto the last thread of hope, praying π that this drought, which has lasted more than a month, will come to a sudden end before the week is over for the sake of the remaining crops.
The maize, unfortunately, has already been hit so badly that it is beyond repair. Even if it were to rain for days on end, we wouldnβt be able to salvage anything from it πΎ.
However, other plants could still benefit from rain π§οΈ, and if it came in time, it might seem as though there was never a drought at all.
This is one of the challenges of farming, and when drought becomes a consistent issue, we struggle to keep our stores full after each farming season.
Now I must adapt to this new normal as quickly as possible before the next farming season to prevent a repeat of what I'm going through now π.
