Hello and good morning all, Today I'd like to share a piece I built and carved for my good customer from Maine that we visit every year in August. The monarch on a flower..
When I tell customers to challenge me, some actually do lol.
Here it is in the raw and all chainsaw. This was at a local event I was invited to. Happens every year in July. I didn't have a log big enough for the flower so it was convenient I was invited. Didn't sell anything at the event but I did get to bring the flower home for my order.
Had the butterfly built and attached to the flower here. Now for the details...
Started detailing and adding antenna...
Getting closer..
It was still all chainsaw at this point...
Next up was the torch, which I shot some footage of and converted to gif for your viewing pleasure..
And then sanding...
A little bit of paint to make it pop...the result was a very happy customer..
