Good morning lovelies and welcome to another new week, good morning @needleworkmonday .
Today I will show you how to cut a straight skirt and short bubu top.
Lining Your Ankara Zip Tape Chalk Dull face Tread Ruler And scissor.
Let me start with the skirt, firstly I fold my material by two measure out the length, hip and waist then I cut it out that's for the front part, and to cut the back,I still fold my material by two and place the front part on it and give out a two inches allowance for my zip and slitting at the back of the skirt.
Then I proceed to cut the bubu top by measuring out the full length, measure out the neck lines, the length and width is same measurements and for the back I give out one inches allowance for zip, then I used my ruler and chalk to trace it out before cutting.
Now I proceed to fold my dull face by two, then I placed the front part of the top to remove the neck and then I trimmed out the shape I wanted.
I also cut out my lining for each part that is needed, now I proceed to fixed the lining. This is the back of the skirt.
The front.
Back of the top.
And for the front part, I firstly cut out the leaf pattern to make design on top of the dull face.
I proceed to fixed it in front part of the top, and I used the dull face to turn it and live a slitting at the front of about ten inches.
I proceed to fixed everything together and this is the bubu top.
And this is the skirt
