Is it a cup of hot coffee? A freshly brewed tea? Or perhaps your own "comfort food"? Or may be a quick walk outside the office to clear your mind for a bit? It could also be a random window shopping - physical or online - or *real* shopping, just because. What is it that you do to *instantly* make you feel good whenever you are caught a little over the stress meter? We all have our ways to make us go "back on track", as what others would put it.
What's one quick way to make me "feel good" when I'm stressed? Milk tea. I've realized this recently because I've found myself craving for, and drinking, milk tea whenever I feel tired from all the work I've been doing for a day. It could be the "hype" or it could be because the Philippines is too hot and we normally crave for something cold - take your pick.
Last weekend, after a week's tiresome work and errands in-between, I felt like I needed a drink. Luckily I was able to visit **Formosa Taiwan Milk Tea** with @gwenfinity and @kcwonders. It's an awesome sunny day to drink ice-cold milk teas - yay!

I have tried drinking their milk teas beforehand, but only thru Grabfood/Food Panda Delivery. I've never been to their physical store. I'm happy I did not have any idea as to how their place would look like as I didn't check their socials - also because the visit to their store was unplanned and random. **Formosa** is quite popular around here because their tea is sourced from Taiwan. Everyone knows Taiwan is a hub for milk tea lovers, and don't ask me why - I've never been to Taiwan. π
I like the interior of **Formosa**. It's clean and they have cute decors as well. The colour contrast is not harsh to the eyes. The air conditioning works fine considering that it was a bit hot as we went there during the afternoon sun. The part I really liked in the store was the *"roses wall"* - this is also where their sign is mounted on (lots of photos below haha). The colours of the flowers surely brighten the place up! It's a good idea for a photo op - which is what I did *exactamente* haha. I couldn't help but be drawn to it - so might as well use this opportunity to have some photos taken.
As for their teas, I like *Oreo Cheesecake* as it suits my taste and it's not too sweet. *Taro Cheesecake* was too sugary for me. Their *Cocoa Cheesecake* was the perfect blend of sweet and bitter-y, so I loved it. I think it's my newest fave.
People say that we should avoid consuming too much sugar to help protect our health - I mean doctors say rather. There's also that popular "saying" of "You only live once, so carpe diem". I personally believe that **balance** is important - we can go YOLO-ing whilst not risking our health as much. Part of my "YOLO" stuff is my milk tea cravings - which I get from time to time. Although I am currently devising a plan of sticking to heathier options for my "feel good drinks" haha. So we'll see about that. If you have recos though, like healthy substitute for milk teas and equally as good, please feel free to drop them on the comments below. π
