Hello fellow Garden Nerds! Hope all is well. I have been absent the past couple weeks, taking a break from online activities. But I have been keeping myself busy in the garden. If you have been following along you know I have been taking my time to get the garden filled up. Mainly due to prognostication, and starting late. No worries, I have plenty of time! Due to the climate I live in, I am able to grow things longer. I learned last year that I can grow well into November. Only thing is I can not plant no later than the end of August. This may not be the most ideal time to really do a full fledged garden. However this still works out. Let me show you all what has happened sine the last update.

I planted a Tomato plant! I forgot which variety this is. Since I waited late this was the last one at the local Wal-Mart. This, and Cherry Tomato's, which I did not want to grow this year. This Tomato plant was luck to receive the last bit of finished Compost I had. I also dug a hole, and replaced the dirt with some Pro-Mix. I promise I will not prognosticate, and put this in a cage ASAP!

I planted my wife's favorite Pepper, Serrano! I was not sure if I was going to do any Peppers this year, but who am I kidding? You have to have some type of Pepper going, or it isn't a garden, right?

I did the same thing that I did with the Tomato. I took out the dirt, and replaced it with Pro-Mix. I was very generous this time with the Pro-Mix, since last year my Pepper plants did like absolute shit in this dirt.

Now that I am posting these, I lied about the Tomato getting the last of the Compost, these peppers actually got the last of it. Hopefully they do better than last year. Which TBH will not be hard to do.

I harvested the Garlic! I planted some cloves that where gifted to me from my friend, and fellow Hiver @anewyorkminute79 back in January.

Ill be letting these dry for 1 more week, and they should be ready. I can not wait! I also will be saving more cloves for next year. I am also thinking of planting a few now just for the heck of it.

I got the Glass Corn in the ground!

I again replaced the dirt with some Pro-Mix, but only a little for each transplant

I also planted some Glass Corn, along with Sunflowers on the side of the property. This time I planted more than I did last year.

I also got the Carrot in the ground. I really wish I would of started more of these indoors this year. It proved to be a big challenge to try to get them to sprout outside.

The Yellow Watermelon seems to be doing ok. This is one that I planted directly in the dirt, since I had no compost, or Pro-Mix at the time. So it could be having a hard time because of that.

Good thing I have more! Hopefully we can get some by the time Halloween comes around.

My wildflowers are in full bloom! I really love having these around. I am trying to plant more around the property as well. Next year I will go overboard with these. I also am going to plant a couple Sunflowers on each end of the garden just for the heck of it. Besides a few more cloves of Garlic, this will be it for the garden this year. It isn't much, but I am having so much fun, and learning what I can, and can not do here. I am also working with basically what I got, besides adding the Pro-Mix, and that is because my boss had a few bags lying around. One big thing that I have learned is I need to make way more Compost then what I have been doing. It seemed I had a good bit, but it does not go a long way. So I will be ramping up my production. Well that is all for now, stay tuned for the next update :)
