Hey everyone! August is almost over, and that means Car Week in Monterey is now over. Once again I did not attend any events, but did get to check out some of the cars that just sold at the Sotheby's Auction held every year at this event. This year at the event a 1967 412P Ferrari sold for 30 million dollars! Unfortnaly I did not get to see that car. But I did get to see a handful of other cars, just as cool!
This Jaguar XJ220 is the coolest car I seen yesterday. This will make it the first ever time I have seen this car in real life. I remember picking this car in a PS2 racing game back in the day.
Here is another car I never have heard of before, the Lexus LFA. This is actually Toyotas first ever Super Car, which I just found out now reading this ariticle. The price tag is only around 400,000 dollars.
The Ford GT- Daytona Heritage. Another Bad ass Super Car!
A car that needs no introduction, the 1990 Ferrari F40
Another Ferrari, the 488 Pista
1953 Fiat 8V Zagato Berlinetta
This is a Ferrari 410 Superamerica Coupe, and I actually found an article about this exact car! Check it out here. Look like they found an owner for it;)
A Porsche 356, not sure on the year. It has to be 1960-1970
1951 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Villa d’Este Coupe
This is another vehicle that really caught my eye! The Mercedes-Benz G63 6x6. It could be yours for the cost of a half million!
This car is actually a Chrysler! The 1956 Chrysler–Boano Coupe was commissioned by the vice president of Fiat Gianni Agnelli. The story on it can be read here. Seeing this really has me thinking I need to make it a point to attend one of the actual events at Car Week!
BMW M3 LIGHTWEIGHT (E36). Info about this exact car can be seen here
Some more cool cars in the back that I could not see that well since this area is blocked off. Just this little piece was cool to see, and this is nothing at what rolls into town for this week. There are events for Italian Cars, Porches, which over 4000 of them where there! There is even an event for Lemons, called the Concours d’Lemons. Last year I did the same exact thing, which I saw way more cool cars then this year. But I had fun. Let me know in the comments which is your favorite car pictured here.
Afterwards we took a walk to the Wharf, and had some Calamari. Hopefully next year we will go to one of the events. Until then, take care everyone! :)
