Hello, happy day to all my dear friends. I hope you are all well. Today I want to share with you a beautiful lamp that I made with recycled materials. Last night I was going to post it, but while I was in the process, the power went out until this morning. My post is intended to be part of this month's contest with the theme of bees, which are beautiful and important to our environment. I was inspired by a honeycomb. Below, I will show you the step-by-step process of my creation.
Materials I used: -Plastic bottle -Rope or twine -Silicone -Scissors -Foam -Socket with light bulb -Foam
Here are the steps to follow: First, take the plastic bottle and cut it to the size you want. In my case, I left only the top part of the bottle, since the top is molded and will give us a shape more similar to a honeycomb. As you can see, the bottle is plastic and holds 2 liters, so you have the exact measurements.
Once we have cut our bottle, we will continue by taking the socket and measuring it on the back of the bottle. We will cut a rectangle of the same size so that the light bulb socket fits in there and we can use the honeycomb as a lamp, which is the idea. The hole or shape we are going to cut out must be the exact size of the base of the light bulb, as it should be neither too big nor too small, just right.
Once we have our piece for the lamp, we will continue covering it. For this, we will use the rope or twine. We will start by winding it from top to bottom, gluing it with silicone at the tip, and continue winding until it is covered to the end of the bottle. At the top, I glued the rope in a ring shape so that it can be hung if desired.
Next, we will proceed to make our beautiful bees, as they are the main theme of our creation. I made the bees in silhouette form, meaning they will not have faces. It is as if they are flying sideways or backwards, friends. I started by cutting out their yellow bodies, wings, stripes, and antennae. Then I continued by first gluing the wings to their bodies, then I finished by gluing the black stripes and their antennae, thus completing our creation.
Then I continued cutting out some pretty, simple little flowers with five petals. I used blue and pink, and I also cut out some small leaves to decorate around them.
Once the honeycomb is ready, along with the flowers and adorable bees, we will continue decorating. First, we glue the flowers, next to the flowers we glue a white stone to make it look more delicate, and finally, and most importantly, we glue the bees separately, thus completing our beautiful creation.
This is the final result of my beautiful lamp inspired by a honeycomb, ideal for decorating our little ones' rooms. Before continuing, I invite my friends to participate @yagelybr @rameuris Credits: I took the photos with my Redmi 12, made the collages with the free GridArt app, and translated the texts with the Deepl translator. Have a happy and blessed
