Hello dear friends, good evening everyone, I hope you are all well. I want to share with you the renovation of an old painting. I'll tell you that we spent 12 hours without electricity, so we had to make the most of our time. This painting depicts a cactus. I designed another cactus model and used different colors. I also wanted to make it 3D but with different techniques.

Materials I used to renovate my painting: -Wooden frame -Cardboard -Yarn -Disposable cup -Foam -Stones -Silicone

Here are the steps to follow: We will start by designing the cactus model on paper. As we know, there are different models, and personally, I liked this one.

Once we have our design ready, we will continue by marking the cardboard for each piece. We will mark three times as many pieces, that is, three identical pieces of each, in order to make a 3D cactus.

Next, in this next step, we will continue cutting out each of the pieces that we marked in the previous step. As you can see, there are many because there are three for each piece, making a total of nine.

Once we have our cardboard pieces ready, we will continue gluing them on top of each other until it is thick and looks 3D.

Next, we will start painting our cactus pieces and our wooden base (frame). We will start by applying the first coat, wait for it to dry, and continue applying the next coats until they have a good color. It took me a while to paint the frame because the yellow color it had was very light and the paint didn't stick well, but in the end, I was able to achieve a good yellow color.

Once the cacti are well painted, we will continue gluing them side by side and forming the model we want.

Next, take the disposable cup, cut it in half, and cover it with orange foam, thus making a pot for our cactus.

Next, we are going to make the cactus flower with our yarn. We are going to take it with the support of our two fingers and begin to roll it up. Since it is small, I only made 10 turns. Then we carefully remove it, make a knot in the center, and begin to cut the sides to form our yarn fluff. This is how I made the cactus flowers.

Once we have all the pieces ready, we will continue gluing and forming our design. First, we will glue the cactus to the frame. then glue the pot to the bottom of the cactus. Next, glue the stones to decorate our pot. I glued a yarn flower to each corner of the cactus and finally glued a small bow to one corner of the pot, as you can see, thus completing my creation.

This is the final result of my beautiful cactus picture, ideal for decorating any space in our home. I hope you like it and can design your own. Credits: the photos are my property, I made the collages with the GridArt app, I translated the texts with the Deepl translator. Have a good night, everyone.
