¡Hola, hivers de Hive y SWC! Está vez no vengo con un blog como de costumbre de mis entrenamientos, si no con una mala noticia de una lesión que sufrí el jueves de la semana pasada entrenando dinámicos, una lesión que me dejara fuera de las barras un rato pero que no me detendra de seguir entrenando.
Hello, Hive and SWC members! This time, I'm not here with my usual blog about my training, but with some bad news about an injury I suffered last Thursday while doing dynamic training. This injury will keep me off the bars for a while, but it won't stop me from continuing to train.

La lesión ocurrió en un combo que estaba practicando en el cual falle un 540 y caí encima de mi mano izquierda, estaba entrenando sin muñequeras en esta muñeca porque tenía una herida y me dolía con la muñequera, fue tremendo error no usarla ya que al caer, por al altura de la barra y mi peso, al caer mi mano en extensión uno de los huesos de la muñeca se luxó. Estaba siendo tremendo entreno y esto me asusto bastante, en el momento no podía ni sostener el teléfono con la mano así que fui al CDI que era el centro de salud más cerca pero aquí no me ayudaron, solo me dijeron que fuera al hospital, así que al llegar a casa quería ir pero en mi casa me convencieron de ir al otro día. Al otro el dolor era bastante insoportable y no sentía los dedos pulgar, índice y medio, así que fui al hospital bastante temprano, en donde me hicieron una radiografía y me dijeron que me había dislocado un hueso de la muñeca, me pusieron una férula inmovilizadora luego de hacerme una reducción cerrada y volví a casa, aunque el dolor nunca bajo.
The injury occurred during a combo I was practicing in which I failed a 540 and fell on my left hand. I was training without wrist guards on this wrist because I had an injury and the wrist guard hurt me. It was a huge mistake not to use it because when I fell, due to the height of the bar and my weight, one of the bones in my wrist dislocated when my hand landed in extension. It was a tremendous workout, and this scared me quite a bit. At the time, I couldn't even hold the phone with my hand, so I went to the CDI, which was the nearest health center, but they didn't help me there. They just told me to go to the hospital, so when I got home, I wanted to go, but my family convinced me to go the next day. The next day, the pain was quite unbearable, and I couldn't feel my thumb, index finger, and middle finger, so I went to the hospital quite early. They took an X-ray and told me that I had dislocated a bone in my wrist. They put an immobilizing splint on me after performing a closed reduction, and I went home, although the pain never subsided.

Pasaron 2 días y el dolor de la lesión nunca mejoro, poco a poco sentia menos los dedos que mencioné antes y esto me asustaba así que me la quite, no fue la mejor idea pero me bajo un poco el dolor. Luego de ir con otros traumatólogos, y hacerme de nuevo los rayos x, me confirmaron que la reducción del viernes me la habían hecho mal y que el hueso seguía luxado, era específicamente un hueso del carpo, el semilunar, y estaba totalmente fuera de lugar, por la cantidad de días, era poco probable que se pudiera acomodar sin cirugía. Esto fue el lunes, el martes fui con otro traumatólogo a intentar hacer una reducción cerrada pero esto no funcionó tampoco, el dolor nunca bajo así que yo me lo imaginaba, el miércoles se confirmo con unos rayos x. Al final la orden fue de comprar los insumos y que me operarian de emergencia en el hospital. Me operaron el día miércoles 29 de octubre, fue una operación corta, según el doctor, solo me acomodaron el hueso y me inmovilizaron la muñeca para que sanara en donde debía, que era una lesión grave ya que tenía implicación nerviosa.
Two days passed and the pain from the injury never improved. Little by little, I felt less and less in the fingers I mentioned before, and this scared me, so I removed it. It wasn't the best idea, but it did reduce the pain a little. After going to other orthopedists and having new X-rays taken, they confirmed that Friday's reduction had been done incorrectly and that the bone was still dislocated. Specifically, it was a carpal bone, the lunate, and it was completely out of place. Given the number of days that had passed, it was unlikely that it could be reset without surgery. This was on Monday. On Tuesday, I went to another orthopedist to try a closed reduction, but that didn't work either. The pain never went away, so I figured as much. On Wednesday, it was confirmed with x-rays. In the end, the order was to buy the supplies and have me undergo emergency surgery at the hospital. I had the surgery on Wednesday, October 29. It was a short operation, according to the doctor. They just set the bone and immobilized my wrist so that it would heal where it should. It was a serious injury because it involved nerves.

Al final la operación salió bien, han pasado ya varios días y tengo la mano inmovilizada pero el dolor ha mejorado bastante y poco a poco vuelvo a sentir los dedos, las ganas de entrenar no se van pero sé que estarán ahí para cuando este curado al 100%. Solo queda tener paciencia y seguir adelante 💪
In the end, the operation went well. It's been several days now, and my hand is still immobilized, but the pain has improved considerably, and little by little, I'm regaining feeling in my fingers. The desire to train hasn't gone away, but I know it will still be there when I'm 100% healed. All that's left is to be patient and keep going 💪
