I have some bad news, and I'm also announcing it here because a small part of this community witnessed it from the first day I brought this plant and has seen it grow and multiply. Every chance I get, I post an update; this time, it's not good at all.
My Dieffenbachia has fallen to its side under its own weight and ended up broken on the ground. The plant was quite tall, and I was actually thinking about buying a tall pot because I had a feeling something was wrong… Well, unfortunately, today, perhaps because of the wind because I had the windows open, it fell over, and when I went into the living room, I found this disaster. I cried like you have no idea.
Tengo una mala noticia y también lo anuncio por aquí porque una pequeña parte de esta comunidad fue testigo desde el primer día que traje esta planta y la ha visto crecer y multiplicarse porque cada que puedo pongo una actualización, la de esta ocasión no es nada buena.
Mi Dieffenbachia se ha ido de lado por su propio peso y terminó en el suelo rota. La planta estaba bastante alta de tamaño y de hecho ya estaba pensando en comprar una maceta alta porque ya estaba presiento algo extraño… Bueno, hoy desafortunadamente, quizás con el viento porque tenía las ventanas abierta, se ha caído y cuando voy a la sala me encuentro con esa desgracia, lloré como no tienen una idea.
I felt quite sad, guilty, and negligent. This was the first plant I consciously decided to take care of and bring to my new apartment back then. I know this plant is quite generous, and even though this happened to it, there's a solution. So I'm going to put the remaining stem in water until it grows roots. This might take a month or two before I can repot it. I feel really sad.
Me puse bastante triste, me sentí muy culpable y negligente, esta ha sido la primera planta que con consciencia decidir cuidar y llevar a mi nuevo departamento en ese entonces. Yo sé que esta planta es bastante generosa y a pesar de que le haya pasado esto, tiene solución, así que voy a poner la parte que queda del tallo en agua hasta que le salgan raíces, quizás esto se tome un mes o dos antes de poder pasarla nuevamente a la tierra con una maceta, realmente me siento muy triste.
