Me ha gustado mucho el reto de esta atractiva comunidad, que llega a nosotros a través de la usuaria @maiasun84. Las aves siempre serán de los seres primordiales de la naturaleza, de nuestra existencia en esta morada. Y como decía el gran poeta venezolano Eugenio Montejo: “La terredad de un pájaro es su canto”. Por eso, quise escribir este ejercicio poético para recrear la imagen de un ave muy querida, de varias especies y nombres, que llamaré “tórtola”, y su sencillo canto.
Sonido con eco de infancia
en los solares de nuestras casas
en las plazas y en el campo
siempre en el verde matorral
o en las frondas altas
a veces sonando a rumor
de piedras en los ríos
a mediodía solitario y seco
o a partida del día
en la tarde opalina y serena
Eufonía de los espacios interiores
visitados por su canto
casi como un susurro
en nuestros oídos
Es el canto de la tórtola común
ave pequeña y montaraz
parduzca y gris
tímida y nerviosa
resonante en la apacible
querencia de nuestra alma

I really liked the challenge from this attractive community, sent to us by user @maiasun84. Birds will always be one of nature's primordial beings, part of our existence in this dwelling place. And as the great Venezuelan poet Eugenio Montejo said: “The essence of a bird is its song.” That is why I wanted to write this poetic exercise to recreate the image of a much-loved bird, of various species and names, which I will call “turtledove,” and its simple song.
A sound echoing childhood
in the yards of our homes
in the squares and in the countryside
always in the green bushes
or in the tall foliage
sometimes sounding like the murmur
of stones in rivers
at a lonely and dry midday
or at the start of the day
in the opaline and serene afternoon
Euphony of the interior spaces
visited by its song
almost like a whisper
in our ears
It is the song of the common turtle dove
a small and wild bird
brownish and gray
shy and nervous
resonating in the peaceful
longing of our soul
