Hive-Reachout weekly prompt 60//My Web3 and Crypto currency Journey

 My journey into Web3 and cryptocurrency began in 2020, during the COVID-19 period. At that time, I was learning tailoring as a skill. I use to go to the shop where I was learning the tailoring everyday and there I met some friends who were involved in cryptocurrency. But before then, I had heard about crypto currencies and Web3, but had no idea what actually it was or how it worked and I didn’t really pay much attention to it. I wasn’t interested in learning it because I thought it was like some kind of Ponzi scheme just like many other platforms I've engage with that end up running away with my money. Not until I met my colleagues at the shop who were into crypto currency and I gradually started getting convinced to learning more about it. Those my colleagues that were into crypto were trading, but then what they introduced to me was airdrops. Most times, they used me as a referral to increase their chances of getting airdrops, while I often found it difficult to get most of the airdrops because I was not good at referring people. I sometimes start the process and end up stuck halfway, so I didn’t gain much from it that time. The referral system really made it hard for me to get fully interested in crypto at that time. I remember the first coin I bought was Tron. I bought a small amount and just kept it without doing any trading or other activities. After a while, I lost interest in crypto mostly because of its referral system.  My interest into crypto came back when Telegram mining apps started becoming popular, that was last year 2024. I began mining on platforms like Notcoin, Hamster Kombat, Tapswap, and others. Around the same time, a friend of mine who was into trading usually trained people on how to trade and he decided to include me in his lessons for free. That was when I began to pay more attention to cryptocurrency and started learning how trading worked. However, I didn’t stay long with the Telegram mining apps. After Hamster Kombat launched, I lose interest. I spent time and data mining, completing tasks and gathering billions of coins, expecting a good reward. But in the end, what I received from the airdrop was very small. Tapswap and other apps I was mining were delaying their airdrops, and fake mining apps started coming out everywhere. It became difficult to tell which ones were real, so I lose interest and stopped focusing on them(telegram mining apps) again and spent more time on trading. Trading was somehow difficult for me at start. When I learned to some extend, I began live trading. There were times I made a profit and other times I made losses, but I see more of the losses than the profits. Of a truth, I began to understand more about Web3 early this year. I only know that Web3 is the next stage of the internet that was all not until recently when the admin of this community @ovey10 wanted to onboard me into hive and was teaching me more about it. At least I know now from the little he taught me that Web3 is a place where my information is stored on decentralized blockchains instead of companies controlling my data and assets, giving examples with Facebook's and othe social media platforms and that individuals own and control their digital assets, whether it’s money, online content or digital items.  I never knew of Hive web3 Blockchain not until march this year that I got introduce and onboarded by my mentor, the admin of this community. Out of all the Web3 platforms I have tried, the Hive blockchain has been the most outstanding. I must confess, I started with other platforms but didn’t get much from them. On Hive, I have earned more than I did in the earlier parts of my crypto journey. Apart from the earnings, it has helped me improve in different areas, like writing, thinking, and learning from others in the community. So my journey into Web3 and cryptocurrency has been gradual process from starting with little understanding, went through different stages of trying things out, and eventually led me to a platform that works well for me. I will recommend Web3 and Crypto currency for anyone because it is the best platforms ever. The world is changing day by day and digital currency is gradually taking over many aspects of the world from buying and selling, marketing, banking. It one of the best place to invest on long term. In few years to come now, most countries will adopt the use of crypto currency in many sectors. So investment in crypto currency is one of the best investment I can make for the future and I will recommend same to anyone.. This post is in response to the Hive-Reachout weekly prompt 60.
