Mindfulness : A Great Virtue

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog. I'm asked to write about Mindfulness. It's a nice topic to write on. I see mindfulness as the act or practice of always being fully aware of the current happenings, and the ability to act wisely often.

Mindfulness is a lifestyle, and I exhibit it anywhere I find myself. Last week, I went to my coursemate's father's funeral. But before I left the house, I told myself I won't misbehave when I get there.

So when I arrived there, I met some of my course mates, we sat and discussed together while the funeral was going on.

It was a great moment because I hadn't seen most of them ever since I finished my exams. So I was so excited to see them.

So after the funeral, something happened, though it wasn't a bad thing. My coursemate, who organized the funeral, asked us to sit in a certain place while he went upstairs to bring our food.

So we waited, and he finally brought food to us, so we all ate, and we appreciated him for the sumptuous meal.

But a few minutes after we had the meal, my course mates decided to buy dried fish, garden eggs, meat, drinks, etc.

I was shocked. Though it was good, I didn't find it funny. I had to be mindful of myself. I ate a little and didn't bother to take more.

I was mindful of all the actions I took there because I was aware of who I was, what I should do, and what I shouldn't do.

I also observed a lot that would help me live a life that no one would be able to point his or her fingers at me. It's my life decision.

Thank you all.

I remain @joyben.
