My Weekend Experience: A Football Match, I Will Never Forget

Hello members of the Weekend Experiences community. You're welcome to my blog. I want to share how my weekend went.

My weekend went well because I was able to go on an outing. The kind of outing that I went to is not the usual one you know, but it's something different, though not that different from what you know.

Earlier this morning, I was thinking of where to go because it's the weekend, and staying indoors isn't good for me.

So while I was still pondering where to go, I recall there was a football match between my male pastors and the male youth.

So I was so happy that I recalled it earlier. Football is one of the games that gives me joy each time I watch people play.

It's always fun to be where it has been played. Honestly, the joy I have within me couldn't let me be, so I promised to go there.

The football was to commence from 3 p.m. at the Christian Fellowship Evangelical Church Camp Ground along Idoro Road in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

So around 2.30 p.m, I went to my church so I could follow my pastor down to the place where the match would be taking place. So my pastor asked me if I've ever been to that place, and I said no.

It was a great privilege to meet with people that I'd never seen before, and also a great opportunity to behold the beauty of the football field and the campground.

So before 3.30 p.m., we were already on our way to the place. My pastor bought me sweets, and he also gave me his bag to hold for him. I feel good when I'm around my pastor; he makes me feel at home.

So a few hours after we arrived there, the match began. Their football wears were so amazing, and the two teams looked stunning in their jerseys.

Before the match commenced, I took photos of them. When you look at the photos, it's somehow not very clear. That's because the weather wasn't good enough for me to capture them very well. But at least it makes more sense to take their photos than to just stop taking them.

The match began fully, and it was very interesting. In fact, I was shocked at both the youth, and the pastor's performances. Both teams played so well that I could never imagine it.

But that was not the case because I was solidly behind my pastors so that they would continue to preach for me. Aside from that, for the youths to win my pastor's, it wouldn't have been nice to hear.

So as God may have it, both teams scored one, and throughout the match, neither team scored again. So that leads to penalty kicks by almost all the players.

And fortunately for me, my pastors won the match, and I was so excited.

Thank you for your time.

I remain @joyben.
