Greetings members of the Hive student connect. Happy Tuesday to you all. You're welcome to my blog.
This afternoon, I want to share my view with you on what I title separation from bad friends brings peace. I want to deliberate on this based on my experience so far.
Who is your friend in school? Why do you keep company with him or her? And what makes you think both of you were meant to be with each other?
These are questions you should be asking yourself as a student. Remember the word "friend" shouldn't be used the way you want.
As a student, I've come to understand the word friend. Before now, I used to think friendship is all about liking the person. But I continue to enroll in school, I discovered there is more to that which meets the eye.
I discovered that friends are people who bring value to me. I was made to understand that anyone who could not influence me positively, and also help me value who I am, such a person isn't worthy to be called my friend.
Ever since I discovered that, I've been observing every single step that I take, and every friendship that I keep.
I was able to separate myself from those who were not influencing me positively as my friends. I separated myself from friends who couldn't inspire me to become a better version of myself.
I know you have these circles of friends around you. How are they influencing you positively? Do you feel safe around them?
It's high time you separate from them, and go for people who will share in your dreams. Once you do this, you will realize how peaceful your life would be, as a result of that separation.
Thank you.
