Greetings my fellow entrepreneurs. How are you people doing this beautiful night? I welcome you all to my blog.
This night, I want to share my view with you on what I title "Side Hustle: the business that boosted my growth". I know you've been hearing of this word, but you don't really know what it's all about.
Most people, most especially the new entrepreneurs, think a side hustle isn't paying. They prefer going for something bigger than that even when their money isn't enough for the business they want to embark on.
Well, I would love to say that I was also in this category, but not until I realized that life is not what I thought it was.
An elderly person met me, and she asked me a question I will never forget. She said to my daughter, " Why are you putting so many loads on your head.
I didn't understand what she meant by that. She told me she knows everything that has happened to me as a result of going for a business I won't be able to do.
I told her I like the business. But she told me the money I have currently, won't give me what I wanted.
So she suggested I do a side hustle first, then when the income is much, I could as well switch to the business I actually wanted to do.
So I didn't know the kind of side hustle I could do, but she gave me an idea. The next day, I took the money I had and went into my neighborhood to buy fruits.
I bought watermelon, paw- paw, pineapple, pears, Bananas, cucumber, etc. When I returned home, I kept them in a safer place.
The following morning, I went to where my friend does POS business, and I asked him if he could please allow me to sit close to his POS stand and sell my fruits, and he said yes.
I was so excited, I thanked him, before I returned home.
When I reached home, I took all the fruits that I bought, alongside water and other utensils like a knife. When I got there, I washed them, and I started peeling the pineapple, watermelon, and paw-paw.
After that, I wrapped them and put them inside a tray; I kept the remaining fruits on the table. I was waiting to see if people would patronize me.
Fortunately for me, they didand I was so excited. For the past few months, I can tell how profitable that side hustle is.
It has paid me times five for what I would have achieved if I had succeeded in doing what I wanted to do earlier.
What am I trying to say? Don't expect much money when you're starting a business. Start with the little amount of money you have with you.
There's no way you would finish selling those goods, and you will not have enough money to expand your business.
In conclusion, don't be afraid of starting something, just take a step, and you will be there. Don't allow fear and money, to stop you from doing what would have been so helpful to you tomorrow.
Thank you for stopping by.
I remain your favorite girl @joyben.
