Greetings members of the Be Entrepreneur community, happy Thursday to you all. You're welcome to my blog.
This morning, I will be speaking on the topic that says: Women in Entrepreneurship: Breaking Barriers and Building Legacies
Some centuries ago, the power of women was underestimated. They were not regarded as people who could do business, and succeed in it.
I still recall the incident that occurred when I was twelve years old. My aunt wanted to embark on a certain business, which, according to her, would yield more income for her.
But the most annoying part was that her husband didn't allow her to do anything, even when his work didn't earn him much money.
But can you compare those days to the present century? Of course you can't. Today, women have broken those barriers that surround business, and they have built legacies that won't be forgotten in a hurry.
If you're good at observing the new trends around you, you will discover that women are the best when it comes to business. They can devote themselves to business rather than anything else.
For the past years, I've taken time to visit a lot of business places, and I've discovered that women are indeed showing more entrepreneurial power than men.
Out of a hundred business centers in a certain town, sixty percent are owned by women of great influence. Gone are the days when the power of women in business was underestimated.
Women are doing better in business than ever before. They have proven to be stronger than their peers in terms of business.
A lot of them have been celebrated because of how brave and resilient they've become. Each time I see a woman who's successful in her business, I always have this conviction that one day, I will get there.
What's your take on this? Have you also observed that women are doing well in business?
As a husband who has a wife who's interested in business, please allow her to do it. Give her a chance to make you proud.
I saw a woman a few years ago selling fish at the market, but today she has made it.
Business is one thing that brings food to the table. And until you know how far you can go as an entrepreneur, you will stop underestimating yourself as a woman entrepreneur in Nigeria.
Never look down on yourself as a woman, you can do far better than other women out there. There's nothing to worry about. A lot of women have broken certain business barriers, and have built so many legacies, still in the line of business.
So you're not an exception. You can also do better than they did in their various businesses. I will still emphasize one thing, which is, never underestimate yourself as a woman.
Get involved in business, break barriers, and build legacies for your generation and the next generation to come.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
