I always come home hungry after many hours on my workplace but I don't buy food along the way because food is almost always ready when I come come. I come out at 6 pm every Mondays to Saturdays and when I go on a commute and stops at the bus stop, I pass by many street vendors and they are all temping me especially when there are many people buying and eating.
One day, I was not able to hold myself, I was really hungry and I thought of walking to my mother I law's place to fetch my son, we always keep him there whenever my husband and I go to work and It's over a kilometre so I had to eat something to keep going so I stopped by on a street food vendor and bought an egg that's coated with flour batter and fried. It is called kwek-kwek by some including me but others disagree since kwek-kwek are made with quail eggs.
The egg is then put into a disposable cup and filled with sauce.
Pictures taken while buying on the street vendor, and some customers were included in the frame also.
After having the egg, I called my husband letteling him know where I was going; he is going to referee a basketball game. Then he told me our son was already at home so I went to a supermarket instead and bought ingredients needed for pancake.
These pictures were taken in July where Nutrition month was celebrated on schoola and my eldest daughter was requested to bring some food for their classmates to share with during recess.
This is me holding the goods while lining to the cashier; baskets are way too large for these ansd their store is quite narrow so J had to settle on holding these.
While walking home, I felt conscience on eating kwek-kwek alone, I don't.really eat food alone, it's either with my husband or my kids but it was an honest mistake I made. It's not that my husband would get angry but my husband does the same and prioritize us,.his family. I wanted to give back his love but yeah, things happen and I hope that one day, there would come a time when we can freely eat any food and share with the family anytime we want.
Is there a kwek-kwek food.in your end? How often do you eat street food? I'd love to know about it on the comments section of tag me if you feel like making.a post. Thai will be all for now, thank you very much and keep safe!
