NUESTRAS MIRADAS
Anclada tu mirada
en aquel lejano silencio
de una tarde anochecida
que se robaba los grillos
vestido el cielo de tul.
Mirarte, mirarme y mirarnos
nos volvía la vida en recuerdos
esos recuerdos hermosos
mientras contemplábamos
el placer de ver venir la noche
mientras el sol se ocultaba
perdiéndose entre las ramas
de los árboles.
Allí siempre consecuente
juntos
como dos pájaros
luciendo su conquista
entre las ramas
y su laberinto de hojas
que se tatuaba en el cielo
que a la luz de la luna
mostraba su brillo.

Your gaze anchored
in that distant silence
of a dusky afternoon
that stole the crickets
dressing the sky in tulle.
Looking at you, looking at me, and looking at each other
brought back our lives in memories
those beautiful memories
as we contemplated
the pleasure of seeing the night approach
as the sun set
losing itself among the branches
of the trees.
There, always consistent
together
like two birds
showing off their conquest
among the branches
and their labyrinth of leaves
that was tattooed on the sky
that showed its brilliance in the moonlight.
