Welcome my dear unfortunate travelers of the internet and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, as you may know lately I have been given the wind to see anime that appear on Facebook, it is one of those recommendations entitled "Undead Unluck" which not only caught my attention for having interesting combats but also for the romance that is very present in the story. Without further ado, prepare to be very unfortunate because we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros infortunados del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, como sabrán últimamente me ha dado el venazo por ver animes que me aparezcan en Facebook, es una de esas recomendaciones titulada “Undead Unluck” el cual no solo me llamo la atención por tener combates interesantes sino también por el romance que se encuentra muy presente en la historia. Sin más que agregar, prepárense para ser muy desafortunados pues estamos por comenzar.

Undead Unluck was released in 2023, based on the manga of the same name created by Yoshifumi Tozuka, was directed by Yūki Yase and produced by TMS Entertainment, has one season and a total of 24 chapters. It is an action and adventure animation, the story focuses on Fūko Izumo a girl who voluntarily isolated herself from society because everyone who has contact with her suffers a lethal misfortune, that is why she decided to end her life, however, when she was about to commit suicide a man with an incredible capacity for regeneration stopped her, As you get to know this strange individual more you will realize that there are more people who possess anomalies as well as a mysterious organization whose objectives you do not know.
Undead Unluck fue estrenada en 2023, basada en el manga homónimo creado por Yoshifumi Tozuka, fue dirigido por Yūki Yase y producido por TMS Entertainment, cuenta con una temporada y un total de 24 capítulos. Es una animación de acción y aventuras, la historia se centra en Fūko Izumo una chica que se aisló voluntariamente de la sociedad debido a que todo el que tiene contacto con ella sufre un letal infortunio, es por ello que decidió acabar con su vida, sin embargo, cuando estaba a punto de suicidarse un hombre con una capacidad increíble de regeneración la detuvo, conforme conoce más a este extraño individuo se dará cuenta de que hay más personas que poseen anomalías así como una misteriosa organización cuyos objetivos desconocen.

The animation is visually pleasing, it has an above-average attention to detail and an acceptable fluidity, its color palette does not really stand out for much beyond giving relevance to the use of blood, finally, the use of CGI is quite successful, it does not feel invasive or repulsive as it can be perceived in other animations of this nature, In general, it is a section that feels well cared for.
La animación es agradable visualmente, la misma posee un cuidado de los detalles por encima del promedio y una fluidez aceptable, su paleta de colores no destaca realmente por mucho más allá de dar relevancia al uso de la sangre, por último, el uso del CGI es bastante acertado, el mismo no se siente invasivo ni repulsivo como puede llegar a percibirse en otras animaciones de esta índole, en general, es un apartado que se siente bien cuidado.

The soundtrack passes without pain or glory, it is well within what it goes, there is not much to highlight about this section.
La banda sonora pasa sin pena ni gloria, está bien dentro de lo que cabe, no hay mucho que destacar sobre este apartado.

This is undoubtedly the most curious section, throughout the series there is a construction of the world that seems very typical and generic, however, as the series progresses it is evident that all the actions that the main characters do have a direct influence on the whole society, this can range from unifying a language to climate changes, although on a social level there is no influence, it is interesting how the context changes with the victories and defeats of the protagonists, in turn, it is very ingenious to see how the series incorporates everyday and mundane things as interesting elements of its setting, a very creative section without a doubt.
Este es sin lugar a dudas el apartado más curioso, a lo largo de la serie se presenta una construcción de mundo que parece muy típica y genérica, sin embargo, conforme avanza la serie se va dejando en evidencia que todas las acciones que hagan los personajes principales tiene una influencia directa en toda la sociedad, esto puede ir desde unificar un idioma hasta cambios climáticos, si bien a nivel social no hay influencia es interesante como el contexto cambia con las victorias y derrotas de los protagonistas, a su vez, es muy ingenioso el ver como la serie incorpora cosas cotidianas y mundanas como elementos interesantes de su ambientación, un apartado muy creativo sin lugar a dudas.

The plot is quite simple but interesting, it houses a good amount of combats and interesting situations which keep the series striking at all times, in addition, the incorporation of romance does not feel delayed and truly has a proactive role in the premise. Narratively there is not much, although the series tries to have moderately complex situations in the form of diverse predicaments for its characters, it is still simple with a clear and linear objective, despite the above it is well written enough to oscillate between explanation of the functioning of its world and various confrontations, The latter do not enjoy a flashy level of strategy or anything like that but they manage to be colorful and eye-catching enough to be entertaining.
La trama es bastante sencilla pero interesante, la misma alberga una buena cantidad de combates y situaciones interesantes las cuales mantienen a la serie llamativa en todo momento, además, la incorporación del romance no se siente retardada y verdaderamente tiene un papel proactivo en la premisa. Narrativamente no hay mucho, si bien la serie trata de tener situaciones medianamente complejas en la forma de predicamentos diversos para sus personajes, la misma no deja de ser simple con un objetivo claro y lineal, pese a lo anterior está lo suficientemente bien escrita como para ir oscilando entre explicación del funcionamiento de su mundo como enfrentamientos varios, estos últimos no gozan de un nivel llamativo de estrategia ni nada por el estilo pero logran ser vistosos y llamativos como para resultar entretenidos.

Only the protagonists deserve to be highlighted due to the chemistry that exists between them, it is very curious the way they interact with each other and how their relationship evolves with them, as previously mentioned their romance and couple dynamics have relevance at the narrative level being that their own interactions are fundamental to solve various predicaments. Apart from the above mentioned there is not much to highlight because on an individual level there is not much that makes them stand out, in general, all the characters are quite simple and/or unknown, so outside of the main couple there is no other character that is minimally interesting, the latter also applies to the main villain who so far is completely unknown.
Solo merecen ser destacados los protagonistas debido a la química que existe entre estos, es muy curiosa la forma en que interactúan entre sí y el cómo su relación va evolucionando con ellos, como se mencionó previamente su romance y dinámica de parejas tiene relevancia a nivel narrativo siendo que sus propias interacciones son fundamentales para resolver diversos predicamentos. Fuera de lo anterior mencionado no hay mucho que destacar debido a que a nivel individual no hay mucho que los haga destacar, en general, todos los personajes son bastante sencillos y/o desconocidos, por lo que fuera de la pareja protagónica no hay ningún otro personaje que resulte mínimamente interesante, esto último también aplica al villano principal que hasta el momento es completamente desconocido.
Undead Unluck remains in the average range of being decent, it has enough merits to have some praise but not too much to deserve to stand out above the rest. It is for all of the above that it deserves 3.5 stars out of 7, the most it offers are colorful combats and stupid comedy, apart from that, there is not much to mention, recommended for those who want to see stupid violence and stereotypical romance tinged with both blood and magical situations.
Undead Unluck se mantiene en el rango promedio de ser decente, tiene los suficientes méritos como para tener algunos elogios pero no demasiados como para merecer destacar por sobre el resto. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 3.5 estrellas de 7, lo más que ofrece son combates vistosos y comedia estúpida, fuera de ello, no hay mucho que mencionar, recomendada para aquellos que quieran ver violencia estúpida y romance estereotípico tintado tanto de sangre como de situaciones mágicas.
