Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring was released in 2001, based on the book of the same name by the legendary J. R. R. Tolkien, directed by Peter Jackson, produced by New Line Cinema and WingNut Films, has a duration of 3 hours and 48 minutes. It is an epic adventure and fantasy film, the story takes place in Middle-earth, a place where the different races coexist in harmony, men, dwarves and elves received rings of power, however, the dark lord Sauron forged one more infusing it with his evil power with the aim of controlling the rest of the rings and dominating Middle-earth, all this triggered a great and terrible battle that resulted in the defeat of Sauron but not in the destruction of the ring, 3000 years passed after that fierce battle when a hobbit finds the ring and causes the forces of evil to move again.

Tolkien, dirigido por Peter Jackson, producida por New Line Cinema y WingNut Films, cuenta con una duración de 3 horas y 48 minutos. Es un filme de aventuras y fantasía épica, la historia se desarrolla en la tierra media un sitio donde las distintas razas conviven en armonía, los hombres, enanos y elfos recibieron anillos de poder, sin embargo, el señor oscuro Sauron forjó uno más infundiéndolo con su poder malvado con el objetivo de controlar el resto de anillos y dominar la tierra media, todo esto desencadenó en una gran y terrible batalla que derivo en la derrota de Sauron más no en la destrucción del anillo, 3000 años pasaron después de esa encarnizada batalla cuando un hobbit encuentra el anillo y produce que las fuerzas del mal vuelvan a moverse.

The soundtrack is one of the most beautiful things about this film, it is present almost at all times and gives an excellent touch of fantasy, in addition, it is adaptable enough to be epic or melancholic as the film requires.

The construction of the world is very hypnotizing, throughout this film you can see various beautiful landscapes, as well as an atmosphere loaded with magical elements, on the other hand, there are multiple architectures of various races which have many differences between them with the intention of representing the way of life and the characteristics of each of their races. On the other hand, there are the creatures that inhabit this world, they have their own history that makes them interesting, in turn, the quarrels and disputes that exist between them, product of the conflicts of the past, as a whole, their context both at the level of setting and at the social level feels very alive, everything has an interesting flow, as well as a reason for being, this not only enriches the context but also sustains the reasons and feelings of the different races.
La construcción de mundo es muy hipnotizante, a lo largo de esta cinta se pueden ver diversos paisajes hermosos, así como una ambientación carga de elementos mágicos, por otro lado, existen múltiples arquitecturas de diversas razas las cuales poseen muchas diferencias entre sí con la intención de representar la forma de vida y las características de cada una de sus razas. Por otro lado, se encuentra las criaturas que habitan este mundo, las mismas tienen una historia propia que les hace interesante, a su vez, se plasma las rencillas y disputas que existen entre estos, producto de los conflictos del pasado, como un todo, su contexto tanto a nivel de ambientación como a nivel social se siente muy vivo, todo tiene un flujo interesando, así como una razón de ser, esto no solo enriquece el contexto sino que sustenta las razones y los sentires de las distintas razas.

Narratively it is complex, we are talking about a film that has almost 4 hours to its credit, fortunately, it knows how to use its time very well and doses it in a good way between its characters and the stories that they have behind them, in addition, there are various types of unexpected betrayals and redemptions, and, obviously, a good amount of combats, Although the latter are not as spectacular, they know how to inject a good dose of adrenaline and excitement. You have to ask yourself the question: Do you feel bored? The answer is it depends, almost 4 hours of movies are not easy to digest, however, the movie is aware of it and uses every minute or small interaction to enrich its characters and/or the plot.
La trama es completamente atrapante, desde el vamos el filme comienza fuerte dando todo un contexto más que necesario para poder comprender de buena forma lo que pasó y entender lo que pasará, aunado a lo anterior, en más de una ocasión se exploran recuerdos para dar aún más sentido a diversas interacciones y/o situaciones, de esta forma la cinta logra evitar de buena forma el tener huecos argumentales o que el espectador no entienda algún suceso. Narrativamente es complejo, hablamos de una película que tiene casi 4 horas en su haber, afortunadamente, sabe utilizar muy bien su tiempo y lo dosifica de buena forma entre sus personajes y las historias que estos tienen a sus espaldas, además, existente diversos tipos de traiciones inesperadas y redenciones, y, evidentemente, una buena cantidad de combates, si bien estos últimos no son tan espectaculares saben inyectar una buena dosis de adrenalina y emoción. Es menester hacerse la pregunta: ¿Se siente aburrida? La respuesta es depende, casi 4 horas de películas no son fáciles de digerir, no obstante, la película es consciente de ello y utiliza cada minuto o pequeña interacción para enriquecer a sus personajes y/o a la trama.

The characters are curious to say the least, that installment has a total of 10 main characters who will be the ones who spend the most time on screen, and, surprisingly, most of them present a good characterization as well as a very pleasant demonstration of emotions, throughout the adventure many of these suffer either for their ambitions or for the consequences left by war and bloodshed, although not everyone enjoys the aforementioned at least if the vast majority, on the other hand, some have striking backgrounds such as being a lost heir of the king, wanting to return the glory to his kingdom, among other things, are these small objectives that although they do not give them an abysmal three-dimensionality, at least they give them a more realistic touch by having their own goals.
Los personajes son curiosos cuanto menos, esa entrega tiene en total a 10 personajes principales los cuales serán los que estén más tiempo en pantalla, y, sorprendentemente, en su mayoría estos presentan una buena caracterización así como una demostración muy agradable de emociones, a lo largo de la aventura muchos de estos sufren bien sea por sus ambiciones o por las consecuencias que deja la guerra y el derramamiento de sangre, si bien no todos gozan de lo antes mencionado por lo menos si la amplia mayoría, por otro lado, algunos tienen trasfondos llamativos como ser un heredero perdido del rey, querer regresarle la gloria a su reino, entre otras cosas, son estos pequeños objetivos que si bien no les dan una tridimensionalidad abismal por lo menos les dan un toque más realista al tener metas propias.

Nothing to highlight from the villains, they just want to conquer without more and are quite cruel, the simplicity of their construction compensates it with their thirst for blood.
Por último pero no menos importante, las muertes (Oh yeah, muere gente) cabe aclarar que los personajes fallecidos no son los más entrañables y tampoco el espectador logra realmente encariñarse con ninguno de ellos, sin embargo, dentro del filme sus pérdidas tienen un peso importante dentro del grupo al punto de ir generando fracturas y disputas así como un luto por sus camaradas caídos, una de dichas muertes logra causar impacto no debido a que el personaje sea memorable sino a lo que significa la misma, un acto de redención después de cometer un terrible error, en este sentido, la muerte no es solo un acto que sucede sin más sino que aporta complejidad y una vorágine emocional tanto a los personajes como al espectador. Nada que destacar de los villanos, solo quieren conquistar sin más y son bastante crueles, la simpleza de su construcción la compensa con su sed de sangre.
Lord of the rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is a perfect introduction for everything that refers to the world of Tolkien, it is simply intoxicating the way in which the narrative of the film can immerse the viewer in a very easy way to all the mysteries and wonders he has to offer the middle earth, on the other hand, he achieves his task of being a good appetizer and leaving the spectator want to see his sequel To all surviving characters. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring es una introducción perfecta para todo lo que se refiere al mundo de Tolkien, es sencillamente embriagador la forma en que la narrativa del filme puede sumergir al espectador de forma muy fácil a todos los misterios y maravillas que tiene para ofrecer la tierra media, por otro lado, logra su cometido de ser un buen aperitivo y dejar al espectador con ganas de ver su secuela para saber que le depara el futuro a todos los personajes sobrevivientes. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 4.5 estrellas de 7, cabe aclarar que no es un filme para todo el mundo tanto por su longevidad como por el enfoque de fantasía que tiene, sin embargo, como alguien que tuvo sus reservas para darle una oportunidad recomiendo hacerlo puesto que es una historia que te deja con ganas de saber más.
