Man, I slept so well that the day feels refreshing! Because of that, I thought about drawing again and will share it with you all through this blog.
# TIMELAPSE DRAWING
I still can't decide whether to place the timelapse at the beginning or at the end of my fan art. Right now, I'm leaning towards putting it first. Haha, I'm so indecisive that I might change my mind and put it at the bottom instead. Either way, I'm sure it will turn out fine! 😅

I've mastered using the darkest color for line art areas, which consistently results in clean coloring outcomes.

I took a long pause while working on this part because I was contemplating whether to start with the eyes or the hair. As you can see, I decided to begin with the hair and then moved on to the eyes. Choosing the right color for this character was a bit challenging, I had to decide between yellow and orange. In the timelapse, you can see that I changed the eye design and color, but I still followed the character reference throughout the process.
At first, I wanted to finalize this character without any color highlights because I felt that it looked clean and suited him well that way but since adding highlights is one of the signatures of light healers, I decided to include them, and I must say, it looked great! I also discovered the function of the color layer in Clip Studio Paint (CSP) while working on this, and the wet blending brush works like magic. I find it amusing that I am still discovering new tools and be amazed with it.
Since the orbit is one of the signatures of a light healer, I wanted to include it but I was still contemplating whether to finalize this decision. Part of me prefers to include it, while another part is hesitant. Nonetheless, I have decided to show it.
I added a background that features a color similar to Light Healer, and I’m quite satisfied with how it looks. I also wanted to mention the tea he is holding. The reason for this gesture is that, since it has been raining nonstop in my area, a good cup of coffee or tea is perfect to have, so This gesture reflects that sentiment, with him looking at the tea and enjoying it, as shown in his expression.
