The materialist and the spiritualist may appear identical externally, yet their inner motivations are like night and day by comparison. One strives for some material result and the other also strives but is detached from any material result. They may strive in the same way, yet their initial motivations are opposite. You can’t judge by the externals, only by the motivations behind them.
Most writers here produce content for money. We are all incentivized and those on the bodily platform will work for coin. There are few other reasons, since actual readership and following is hardly existent here. The spiritualist however, has no incentive for coin, and writes for personal benefit from the act of writing itself. Or they act in service to the source, by publishing the message of transcendence from that source.
The motivation or incentive may be to disseminate the wisdom of the ancients to the masses, even if only in theory, like placing a book in a library, not knowing who if anyone will read it. Still it is placed in the public domain, this time on the blockchain, so that if there are any sincere seekers, then this message of transcendence and liberation from matter is available. Coin for the work is a trivial secondary by-product. Especially since the coin earned for this type of content is almost non-existent anyway.
These two different worlds are like night and day. There is no material benefit to publishing this content here that you read now. None comes to me via coin, and the likelihood is that there are no readers, judging by previous publications in this vein. That’s not a concern since there is no material motivation and no attachment to any result. Here I write because it is my service to humanity for as long as this blockchain continues. My world is like night compared to your day, and vice versa.
We both publish, yet our incentive is opposite. We are worlds apart. If I wanted to earn coin I would post pretty pictures of cats and flowers. That is the way of the materialistic chaser of coin. However, the spiritualist writes to leave a legacy of content which will age well and which is timeless because it concerns every soul for all time in the same way. Here you have the message of the ancients, from the source regarding transcendence.
Most other content published here today will age badly. It is fleeting and old news in a day. It concerns trivia of the highest degree. It is village talk, published in the hope of coin by a mind stuck in mundane frivolity, of no real value to humanity or any reader. It is drivel. I see it daily here on this blockchain. It shows the puerile minds of the immature soul. It shows the desperation of materially motivated children chasing coin with little to offer is the way of genuine creative or educational content. That is the way of the materialist.
However, this content that you read now is the opposite. It is a legacy that will last and remain timeless because it is the message of transcendence coming from a source over 5000 years old. This message of the process of attaining liberation from material bondage is more valuable than any coin will ever be. The difference in content is like night and day. Even writings on finance or politics will age badly and be stale in a few days. Yet this message of the song of god will ring clear for eternity.
No coin is earned for this work, or at most a few pennies that in no way cover the cost or investment of time and education to come to this level of being able to transmit this message of the ancients. Motivation for coin has long since left. Even readership is now gone. Most people here are in it for their own coin and are so absorbed in trivia, that philosophy and spirituality is foreign to them. This is a place for crows, and yet a swan may sometimes land and drop some fine feathers of hope among the darkness.
If this blockchain stays up and running, which is debatable and always at risk of collapse daily, then the message will remain. This message of the original authors 5000 years ago is being transcribed for posterity. Any material returns today are insignificant for one who is already the richest man in Babylon. With such knowledge, one realizes that we are millionaires in consciousness. All needs are satisfied. There is no lack. Everything is already achieved. Any publications here are as a gift to humanity without need for reward or even readership. There is no attachment to the result. Simply do your duty and leave it as a legacy for those who might be searching.
From the external level it looks non-different but inner motivation and incentive are like night and day when it comes to the relative and the absolute, the real and the fake, the timeless and the fleeting. You can’t tell the mind of a materialist compared to a spiritualist simply by judging from the outside. They may appear the same, in the same place on a media blockchain, yet you can tell them apart as soon as you read their written content and hear the words coming out of their minds.
They look the same externally yet are day and night by comparison. Even the material end result tells you little, since it is materially motivated and judged by materialists, not by those aware of consciousness as the actual real currency of the realm. These are the two classes of people in the world and their lives are poles apart, as is the content of their minds and writing. One chases coin and the other disseminates treasure more valuable than coin, in the form of wisdom regarding consciousness. And that is just the nature of life on earth where those on their way up pass by those on their way down in the eternal cycle of existence for us all. We may look the same but are poles apart based on incentive and motivation.
Bhagavad Gita ch2:69
या निशा सर्वभूतानां तस्यां जागर्ति संयमी । यस्यां जाग्रति भूतानि सा निशा पश्यतो मुनेः ॥ ६९ ॥
yā niśā sarva-bhūtānāṁ tasyāṁ jāgarti saṁyamī yasyāṁ jāgrati bhūtāni sā niśā paśyato muneḥ
yā—what; niśā—is night; sarva—all; bhūtānām—of living entities; tasyām—in that; jāgarti—wakeful; saṁyamī—the self-controlled; yasyām—in which; jāgrati—awake; bhūtāni—all beings; sā—that is; niśā—night; paśyataḥ—for the introspective; muneḥ—sage
TRANSLATION What is night for all beings is the time of awakening for the self-controlled; and the time of awakening for all beings is night for the introspective sage.
COMMENTARY There are two classes of intelligent men. The one is intelligent in material activities for sense gratification, and the other is introspective and awake to the cultivation of self-realization. Activities of the introspective sage, or thoughtful man, are night for persons materially absorbed. Materialistic persons remain asleep in such a night due to their ignorance of self-realization. The introspective sage remains alert in the "night" of the materialistic men. The sage feels transcendental pleasure in the gradual advancement of spiritual culture, whereas the man in materialistic activities, being asleep to self-realization, dreams of varieties of sense pleasure, feeling sometimes happy and sometimes distressed in his sleeping condition. The introspective man is always indifferent to materialistic happiness and distress. He goes on with his self-realization activities undisturbed by material reaction.
