A few weeks ago @ravenmus1c invited me to contribute art for a charity project for animals called SAVE A PAW Collective: click to see original post
The only requirement was that the art had to include an animal and birds are probably my favorite animal inspiration so I went with that.
I don't have any pets myself since my previous pets (a big ginger cat and two albino rats) passed away but I live in a rural area and have tons of wild animals and birds around my house. (see my trail cam posts for more on that!) I consider the little chickadees and hares to be my pets :)
This is a collage made from a few different images with some heavy grain textures applied.

The title is inspired by this poem:

The idiot bird leaps out and drunken leans
Atop the broken universal clock:

Out painted stages fall apart by scenes
While all the actors halt in mortal shock:

As the doomstruck city crumbles block by block:

Fractured glass flies down in smithereens;
Our lucky relics have been put in hock:

The monkey's wrench has blasted all machines;
We never thought to hear the holy cock:
