Love: Beautiful and Blind

It is always said that love is beautiful. Lovers are blind as well, according to the same people. Initially, these two concepts seem to be not compatible. When it comes to being blind in love, then how do we behold the beauty in it? But I believe it is not the response of the physical eye. Love is beautiful not only by what we see but also how we feel. The heart can feel something real and deep even when our eyes are not clear enough to see. I have tried to love someone previous to and it was indeed sweet and difficult. In the very beginning it was all magic. I would wake up in the morning excited only because of thinking about one person. The commonplace things were made special. A phone call or a smile or even a short message would brighten my entire day. Those small moments are what made me realize the truth behind the statement that love is beautiful. But love being blind also made himself seen. At some points, I had not paid attention to the obvious indications that things were not working out well. I reminded myself over and over again, he will change, or I am overthinking. Love helped me look more at the positive things and forget about the negative. It was later on that I heard that love can even cover our eyes and this is not because the truth is not there but because the heart is too preoccupied with holding on to the hope. I learnt a few things, such as love is not only about feelings. Feelings can be strong, but not adequate. True love requires tolerance, tolerance and respect. In their absence love becomes pain in a short time. It is not true that love will be enough to solve all the problems. Two individuals should be prepared to work, sacrifice and develop together. Unless you love yourself, you might be depriving yourself of your value in an attempt to satisfy another human being. Even with love you should not forget who you are because love is supposed to make you even better. This was something I had to learn the hard way, but I am thankful to have done it. Then what are the things people should know before falling in love? First, love is not always rosy. Doubts, misunderstanding and tears will occur. Do not expect a perfect story. Second, be prepared to talk. Love lacks strength unless it is sincere. Lastly, you should not lose peace due to love. When you are always in pain or disorientation then you have to find out whether it is love or just attachment. Today I can also tell that love is beautiful. It enriches life, it is instructive and it leaves us with memories that can never be forgotten. But yes, it is also blind. It is that blindness that causes us to forgive and to persevere and even to dream. The loveliness and the blindness go together, and perhaps that is what makes love so strong.
