Good day to all Hive friends. Today I want to tell you about a trip we took with the family to the beach a few days ago. Here we are in winter but the temperatures are pleasant.
It turns out that we had the opportunity to take advantage of a shuttle that would be the whole day at Brisas del Mar beach in Havana.
We live in Pinar del Rio and this beach is very far away, but a relative is working there on the construction of a house and offered to take us there and back in comfort in his car.

So, regardless of the more than 200 km we had to travel, we decided to start the trip. This beach has a reputation for being calm, blue and crystalline. I found that more than fame it is very real, it is very beautiful.
The beach is located east of Havana, on the coastal strip where there are other beaches with similar characteristics known as Playas del Este (Eastern Beaches).

At first when I started to look at the coast I thought I would find no place to bathe and keep out of the sun. The sea was breaking against the rock and no sand. It was reefs that my eyes saw. As it is winter time the sky sometimes turned gray.

I have come to this particular beach for work reasons with my cousin but I had never come with my family. Before arriving I could already see the coast and I thought it would not be a good idea because I could not see a beach, only the waves breaking against the shore, but I was wrong.

For my son it's as a wonderful idea, he loves the beach. My wife was a bit upset because she considered the trip too long and also because she had to cook lunch and treats for the trip beforehand. But finally everything could be organized.
We arrived around 10 am and the boy ran into the water with a friend and his mom. I was watching from afar to put all the packages and make sure we had an umbrella to sunbathe under.
Also a person advised us not to leave anything unattended on the sand because sometimes there are sneaky thieves who run off with whatever they find and you can almost never recover what they take.
Even so we found a beautiful quiet beach, there were not so many people.

The sand was white and very fine and the water was so blue that it blended in with the sky on the horizon. The coast was clean, there was no trash on the shore and you could walk without difficulty. The boys did not want to leave the water even for lunch.

The beach was excellent for swimming, even for snorkeling. We watched sport boats and even cruise ships heading for Havana Bay. The whole view was very nice.My wife loved sitting on the sand and drawing hearts and hearts with our names.

Something that I did not like very much was that the gastronomic offers were very expensive but it did not affect us much because my wife took everything she needed to have a good day although we always pay for some whim of the child and his little friend.
We got out of the water as the sun was almost setting. The sky was reddish and the water had a brownish hue. The car horn was calling us insistently.

In general it was a very special day, I was able to rest a little from the hard work I do and I got to know a new place. We got together as a family and got away from the daily routine. The child enjoyed it very much and we plan to repeat the experience. If you are close by and are up for it you can stop by, I recommend it. There are even lodging options. I hope you like my post and enjoy reading it.
