Good Day Splinterlands and Aliens of Hive!
It has been quite a while since i posted an entry for the Splinterlands weekly art contest and i missed it a lot since i consistently submitted an entry here a couple of years ago. Lately i am inconsistent due to coping with my mental health. Anyway i am glad to do Kha'zi Fire Mage Fanart! today althought it took me several hours to complete this piece i must say i am happy with the end result.

ART PROCESS...
Materials Used: clip studio paint software and drawing tablet which is my new tablet Veikk Studio 16.
- I start with sketching a draft for the pose of Kha'zi Fire Mage, for this particular step i used a blue color Real Gpen in Clip Studio Paint. The angle of the hands and the pose specifically gave me a rough time, since i don't usually draw hands in this kind of angles, i tried to search and also look at my own hands to do the angles right as much as possible.
- Using a crisp webtoon brush pen which i downloaded on CS paint store for free, i just increased the stabilization to create a smooth line the downside is it took more time to produce a clean lineart. If you are subscribed to a basic Clipstudio paint membership then you will gain clippy points which you can purchase different brushes and materials, it has a lot of pros since not all brushes are for free sometimes the ones i needed most cost a little points but it was all worth it.
- I always do this part to separate the color of the subject from the background and with Kha'zi Fire Mage this time i just did the same thing, gray colors are what i used since they are more likely rare chances to appear on the character pallete but if you prefer any color than this i think it is fine as well.
- From here on out is just filling the colors using paint bucket tool and cleaning them up if some spaces are open or not filled.

- Then the fun part is the rendering process, although i must say that it was also the hardest part since you need to think carefully of the position of the lightings or shadings.
- I added the fire effects on both of her hands, i used smooth webtoon brush to paint those fires and then i adjusted the opacity and lower it so the hands and the dragon gauntlet would still visible, i really like what i've done here so far just enough to make it look like a fire but not to flashy for it to still look aesthetic just as my style, since i love to paint my art now with more like of a pastellish kind of thing i don't know if that is a correct word tho that how is the best word to describe my artwork.
- Now i just added shadows on the clothings also i made the highlights on the golden plates on her outfit for it to look a bit more reflective but not too much since it is gold.
This is all for now let us meet on my next art post here on holozing and hiveblog!
