How it started

Don't want to write how log it has been since I posted something here. It's been good year with many events and travels and product of it is that I haven't written here for a looong loong time. But it's becoming chill and autumn is coming so my time in home is starting. Wanted to share with you my first ever work made on Procreate app that I started using not so long ago.

What is beautiful with this app ( and I believe many of you are using it ) is that it was obviously made by someone truly understanding basic needs of someone who is drawing or painting. It's so simple! Simple to use, simple to export and tools are great.

I love challenges, and as traditional painter this was another one. So, I'm sharing here steps of the process and you will see that my approach is traditional, like painting on canvas. First rough drawing, than something called underpainting and than going into details.

Drawing, not so occupied to be so precise

Starting with adding colors, strong strokes, adding the "body" of color.

Adding more colors and lines, still not going so much into details. Still working on light and dark parts.

step 4.jpg

Solving the background part and entering fine details.

And final product. What was great with this one is that I done it only in one layer :) Some old habits can't be beat so easily.

Also, this piece is minted as #nft and you can check it here https://makersplace.com/jung/about-thoughts-1-of-1-341756/

Hope you enjoyed this process share and some of you just going into world of art find it interesting. Also, I hope I will make myself to write at least one blog per week ( fingers crossed ) since I'm not so easy with words and writing. Painting is my way of writing.

Have a good day and see you soon with some new painting process.
