It's been a busy month at school and with projects. The time has gone by so quick. I can barely believe that already today I issued the first monthly disbursement of DEIA!
In this post, I will give you some updates on what's been going on with my artist token $DEIA during the last month. You can read the whitepaper published on my website to learn more about the token.
Spellcasting
As you may know, I recently published my first chapbook of poetry called Spellcasting. This week, I received my first royalty payment from it! That was very exciting for me! I also finally got it up for sale on my website.
Thank you to @mikkolyytinen for being the first person to purchase one of the Spellcasting Poetry NFTs!
The NFTs are in editions of 10 each and 2 copies from every poem goes to the Small Magics Collection which backs $DEIA. You can view the current holdings of the Small Magics Collection from NFT Showroom here.
The first DEIA was also burned and redeemed for a copy of the Spellcasting chapbook. The token was burned by sending it to the address @deiadripvault.
Having my first NFT sale, first burn, first acquisitions in the Small Magics Collection, and my first royalty payment are some awesome milestones for me this month. Let's talk now about some work I released.
etchings installation
I love Cryptovoxels so much and I'm so excited they released the ability to make free spaces. All you need in Metamask to create a space so I took advantage of that and made a little installation named etchings to go along with Spellcasting, You can visit at http://spellcasting.cielxnoel.com!
Honeywood Forest
I've been running a fun play-by-post game where I give away Hive SBI shares and various Hive-related tokens. We've started up a second round of the game and still have space for more players. I've already give away almost 50 Hive SBI shares, 9 DEIA, 4 HIVE, 4 PAL, 2.5 LEO, 30 SIM, 50 NEOXAG, 60 DEC, and 3 BEE!! I also gave away a special NFT for Red bear's first kill! I got a small $NEAR grant from Createbase to run a version of the game on twitter so I'm so excited to start that up next week.
PAWS
My curation project PAWS, created with the School of Art Gallery at University of Manitoba, opens this Friday, March 5! PAWS: Protest, Activism, Whimsy, and Self-Care is an online art exhibition presented through Nintendo's Animal Crossing:New Horizons. It will run via Dream Address from March 5-May 7, 2021. We're having an artist panel on March 5 which you can register for as well as little curatorial talk and custom design making workshop.
Token News
Whitepaper Updates & Staking Event I've been working on some edits to the DEIA whitepaper to include rewards for holding and staking. I'm pursuing a few different options. I'm going to re-adjust the disbursements to create a staking pool. Another one of my solutions will include a live art event and staking party. I'm really excited to be working on this and will release more details soon.
Monthly Distribution I've distributed the first monthly distribution of DEIA tokens on Hive Engine. The ethereum tokens have also been distributed to the correct addresses.
