For my Geometry design No. 3, I wanted to explore the concept of Geometry. I've always been fascinated by the field of geometry. As an average math student, when presented with my first semester geometry class, I was thrilled and knew I'd succeed. This is simple, I thought. I had no idea what was in store for me on the next level. I soon realized I'd never venture into the math teaching field.
Some concepts remain with you throughout life, such as the Pythagorean theorem. I'll leave the other theorems to professionals or lovers of geometry.
The word "Geometry" is derived from Ancient Greek (geōmetría) land measurement and developed into a branch of mathematics concerned with properties of space such as distance, shape, size, and relative position of figures.
I discovered that Geometry is, along with arithmetic, one of the oldest branches of mathematics. Until the 19th century, geometry was almost exclusively devoted to Euclidean geometry, which includes the notions of point, line, plane, distance, angle, surface, and curve, as fundamental concepts.
Originally developed to model the physical world, geometry has applications in almost all sciences, and also in art, architecture, and other activities that are related to graphics.
Geometry also has applications in areas of mathematics that have been deem unrelated. For instance, methods of algebraic geometry are fundamental in Wiles's proof of Fermat's Last Theorem, a problem that was stated in terms of elementary arithmetic, and remained unsolved for several centuries. This aree of geometry is beyond the scope of my knowledge base.
However, during the 19th century several discoveries enlarged dramatically the scope of geometry into numerous fields of study beyond the physical land shapes and sizes.

According to the challenge post, NFTShowroom will feature all the month's Geometry themed Art minted on the NFT Showroom home page / twitter and Alien Art Hive will be curating participants' blog posts. This challenge is for the full month of September. To join in check out NFTShowroom's challenge post here: [nftshowroom X alienarthive challenge for September: Geometry](https://peakd.com/hive-158694/@nftshowroom/nftshowroom-x-alienarthive-challenge-for-september-geometry).
To participate:
- make art incorporating the Geometry theme
- mint it on https://nftshowroom.com/
- make a blog post about it in Alien Art Hive
- use #nftshowroom in your tags
Below are my steps in creating the design.

The design is titled ***Occupying Space In My Mind***.
Since mathematics is all around us in our daily lives, we utilize it perhaps without thinking of the fundamental concepts. I wanted to capture my thought process when approaching how I deal with geometry. For instance, recently I continued my promise to declutter my indoor living space by year end. Measuring dimensions I'd require for storage is an element of applying geometry to the problem.
It took me a several moments to work it out. Thankfully in this modern age, we have tools available to immediately assist in these efforts. What would the world be like without advanced calculators.

***Creation Process***:
Applying an abstract radial pattern and low angle of high rise building as the background, I hope I was able to project geometrical shapes and patterns onto the canvas. I utilized StarryAI for a geometrical pattern based on the Fibonacci concept. Other images are free-sourced. The female image I located provided the alien vibe.

Uploading all type images into Canva, my design program, I was able to blend them adding layers of elements.

Once completed, I took the still image to Deep Dream Generator to produce the video. I used their Pro Video setting which cost 70 credits. I was thoroughly pleased with the result, as I didn't expect the female's eyes to blink as though the geometry equations were being coast from her thoughts through her eyes.
