For this week’s prompt, the India United Community asks us an interesting question; who is the most inspirational person in your life? In life, we can get inspiration from friends, family or total strangers who you might not even meet once till eternity. There are people you meet who inspire you to become a good person. It might be in your field of work, or maybe that person is living your dream life. Looking up to them can inspire you to chase your dreams harder. For me, that source of inspiration has always been Cristiano Ronaldo. I have been a fan of Ronaldo for as long as I can remember. I'd pull in places to defend his name. I have written about him countless times on Hive and today is another day to do the same. I am not the kind of person that gets into heated arguments, but if it involves Ronaldo, count me in.
Cristiano Ronaldo inspires me to be a good and kind-hearted person. In the football world, more than 70 percent of the footballers have tattoos. Some, tattoo their names, clubs, countries or the trophies they have won. In the midst of footballers with tattoos, there are a few who chose not to get tattoos due to certain reasons. For some, it is against their religion while others like Ronaldo, do it for good reasons. Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't have tattoos because he constantly donates blood. I love tattoos. I love it when I see them on people. But I can't get it because I want to be like Ronaldo who donates blood to people.
His good deeds don't just end with donating blood. During the covid-19 pandemic, Cristiano Ronaldo used his hospital to take good care of covid patients and the most amusing part is that he did all this for free. Ronaldo has countless times sent food, water and other resources to war victims. One of my dreams is to make it big enough in life and assist people, just like Cristiano Ronaldo. He is a good and kind-hearted man who seizes every opportunity to help the needy and the poor.
Ronaldo also inspires me to work hard every day. His life is a clear proof that regardless of your background, if you are hardworking, you can make it big in life. Ronaldo is one of the richest footballers in the world today. Not only that, he is also the best (to some, he is one of the best.) Did he magically get to that position? Did he wake up one day and see himself on the top of the chart, scoring goals and winning medals? Definitely not. If you are not a football fan, you'd be surprised to know that Ronaldo was born into a poor family. His family begged for food and worked odd jobs. His dad was an alcoholic who was barely in his life. Despite this, Ronaldo worked hard to succeed.
Every day, he inspires me to keep working hard. Work hard, keep goals in mind and one day, things will fall in place.
