Jumbled Thoughts: From My Heart To The Keyboard

The series is about a mobile app that alerts you when someone within a 10-meter radius has romantic feelings for you.  In the world of Love Alarm, there is no room for deception or trickery when it comes to love, the heart and romantic feelings. You can’t sneakily find your way into someone’s heart. If you ever doubt your partner’s love, all you have to do is open that mobile app and make them stay within a 10-meter radius. Of course, this sounds like something straight out of fiction, but what if this were possible in real life? This evening, while taking a cold bath, this idea popped in my head. I heaved a sigh. How would the world of love be if the love alarm were real? I find this more interesting because I couldn’t seem to pinpoint the source of these thoughts. All I knew was that I remembered Love Alarm, for seconds, I wished it were real and from there, a series of jumbled thoughts kept coming in.  What if we tweaked the Love Alarm? The “regular” love alarm alerts you when someone within a 10-meter radius has romantic feelings for you, right? What if we tweaked it just a little bit? What if there was an app that didn’t just show who liked you in the moment, but who you would actually end up with in the future? If only this were possible, then there would be no divorce. Then we would not  hear stories of couples getting tired of one another. Think about it. If there was an app that showed who you would end up with in the future; the right person for you. It means, automatically, you will end up with your soul mate- the right person for you. Or at least, someone who wouldn’t hurt your heart too badly. Someone who wouldn’t make you hate the word “love.” I’m in my early twenties and all the years I have spent on earth, I have attended a wedding ceremony just two or three times. However, I have watched a lot of wedding videos on the internet. The wedding day is always a happy day for the husband and wife. A day for them to cry. Not sad tears, but tears of joy. And when they take their marital vows, with the utmost sincerity in their eyes, hands, and heart, they exchange promises to always be there for each other; during the rainy and dry season. For better, for worse. On good days and on bad days.  After a few years, what happens to these promises? Were they all lies to begin with? Probably not. When they made the marital vows, they definitely were sincere about it. Most of them were. However, life can change things. Life can make them forget that they once promised to be there for each other. Life can make them forget the promises they made to each other. Not only the promises, but also the soft kisses, the warm cuddles, the stares, the smiles, the tears, the cold embraces, the warm embraces, the long, comfortable hugs. Life can make them forget everything and then they resort to divorce. When they finally go their separate ways, they find another person and start building again.  Do you think life would be easier if there was an app like Love Alarm that lets you take a peek into the future. An app that tells you, “Hey you, this person is definitely not for you and even if you end up together, you wouldn’t last long.”  I honestly do not know if everything I have written makes any sense. I’m not sure if I have just written a dumb post. Maybe I have or maybe not. For a very long time, today, I wrote from my heart, not my mind.  >Thumbnail is mine.
