Today’s games didn't go well for the Blockchain chess team, but at least we managed to win some games. The Lichess Battle started about two months ago. I remember the first round. Our team didn't do so well. Gradually, one round after the other, we started playing well and improving. We also had new and strong players join us which helped us secure the top position in some rounds. I remember one interesting round I played. I think it was the previous round. The blockchain chess team was close to securing the first position, but within a blink of an eye, we were catapulted to number 3. That's the beauty of chess. One minute, your opponent is leading and feeling on top of the world, the next moment, you gain control of the game.  The Lichess Battle is not for the faint-hearted. Getting paired with players who are 500 points ahead of you can be crazy. In today's tournament, I got paired with 2400+ rated players. It's like an innocent sheep being thrown into a den of wolves. Although it felt like a massacre, these moments are what build us. I lost most of the games I played throughout the Lichess Battle, but I can say my chess skills improved significantly. I won games against some higher-rated players, and some wins were unbelievable. Big cheers to everyone who participated in the Lichess Team Battle! Thanks to @stayoutoftherz for the constant reminders, and to the players who always showed up, thank you. Every player who participated made the Blockchain Chess team proud. https://img.leopedia.io/DQmeRQzbVoAw7Kx74o8yf4saUTfB26Pqr5aNLdM2F5GNFhy/IMG_4454.jpeg Below are some of the interesting games I played in today’s tournament. Justfavour VS Kapfle I should have won this game, but it ended in a draw because I was so silly to blunder the endgame. I don’t even know whether it was a missclick or something possessed me. All I know is that I blundered. We both started the game well. Towards the ending of the game, I had more pawns and I managed to promote one of them to a queen, and it was then I blundered. At the time we played, they were rated 1959 and I knew it was something I could handle. I was pretty careful with this game. I wanted a win badly and luckily, my opponent blundered and resigned afterward.  1. e4 a6 2. d3 b5 3. Nc3 Bb7 4. Be3 e6 5. a3 d5 6. exd5 exd5 7. d4 Nf6 8. h3 Bd6 9. Nf3 Nbd7 10. Bd3 O-O 11. My opponent blundered his Knight at the very beginning of the game. I was a piece up. Not just any piece, but an official. They started playing violently afterward, expecting that I would blunder. I think this was my best win in today’s tourney.  https://lichess1.org/game/export/gif/BtZen908.gif PGN: 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 exd4 4. Nxd4 Nc6 5. Bd3 Nxd4 6. Be3 Nc6 7. Bb5 a6 8. Bxc6+ bxc6 9.
