I made sure I participated in all rounds. My memories are flawed but I think there were about 12 rounds and I made sure to participate n all of them. There were times when I had to make sacrifices just to play the tourney. In fact, there was a time I played chess in the rain. All my efforts didn’t go in vain. In the end, I finished first in the second division. The competition was tough, but I managed to come out with flying colors. Today, we started another season; season 21 of the Hive Chess tournament by @stayoutoftherz. Let’s see how this season goes. Funnily enough, my first ever game was agaisnt Odnoob. I was pissed. Why on earth would my first game be against the most difficult player in the tournament. As expecte, I lost the game. Well, today’s tourney wasn’t so bad. I won more games than I lost and managed to finish in 6th position. As usual, I’ll be reviewing some of my games. **Justfavour VS @JAKI01 : Blunderous End Game** ![de6PuBiE.gif](https://lichess1.org/game/export/gif/de6PuBiE.gif) I enjoy playing against Jaki because I learn so much from him. He plays so well that you have to make sure you play calculated moves. I would have won today’s game if I hadn’t blundered the endgame. In the endgame, I had a rook while Jaki had a bishop and the same number of pawns. I managed to capture a few of his pawns and was now comfortably leading with more points, only for me to let a pawn slip past me. It was painful because I was so confident that I would win the game. I wasn’t overconfident. I just didn’t focus well.  PGN: 1. e4 Nc6 2. d3 e5 3. a3 Nf6 4. Nc3 Be7 5. h3 O-O 6. Nf3 Re8 7. Bg5 d6 8. Bxf6 Bxf6 9. Nd5 Be6 10. Nxf6+ Qxf6 11. Nd2 d5 12. Qf3 Qd8 13. Luck?** ![ybeA1CJ0.gif](https://lichess1.org/game/export/gif/ybeA1CJ0.gif) Again, I managed to secure a win against Stay today. I was happy when I forked his Queen and Rook with my knight. I thought I was on the leading side,  but soon enough I started to blunder. I blundered a few pieces, but luckily, I won on time. I think I was just lucky to win this game.  [Link to the game](https://lichess.org/ybeA1CJ0/white#153) 1. e4 c6 2. d3 d5 3. exd5 cxd5 4. d4 Nc6 5. Nf3 Bg4 6. c3 e6 7. h3 Bh5 8. Bb5 Bd6 9.
