It's not a huge exaggeration to say it always rains in Aysen. On the day we visited a couple weeks ago this was definitely the case. However, the rain is one of the main reasons we made the short drive from Coyhaique. Especially after a long rain, the mountains fill up with water and the whole side of the mountain springs out waterfalls in streams cascading down the rocks. It is a really pretty thing to witness. Unfortunately I didn't actually get any great photos of the waterfalls, which are one of the main "attractions". But I think you'll get the idea from the scale of these mountains how spectacular it can be.
