The memory of my visit to Dumaguete still lives everyday in a wonderful way, this is one of my best city.
"The dramatic weather when I first arrived in Dumaguete"
This beautiful province never came across on my mind and I only see this place thru social media and my first impression to this city was "what a boring place". My interest on this city actually started because of a workmate a beautiful girl who lives' in Dumaguete city. She actually invited us to her hometown when we had a long vacation from work. And since I got a crush on her I quickly accept her invitation (hehehe). Below are my travel guide going to Dumaguete City from Cebu City.
CEBU CITY to DUMAGUETE: Go to Cebu South Bus Terminal and take the Ceresbus to Santander/Lilo-an (via Oslob). Travel time is 3.5 to 4 hours. You may also option to take the other route (via Barili) in case you can't get a seat from the first option. Travel time may be longer by about an hour because it traverses to the Western side of Cebu.
From Lilo-an port, purchase a fastcraft ticket - ferry boat leaves every 30 minutes.
Travel time is approximately 20 minutes.
The ferry dock is located in Sibulan port (not yet Dumaguete proper), just walk all the way out the gate and on to the main road. There, you'll find multicabs/jeepneys going to Dumaguete town. Travel time about 10-15 minutes.
Another option is to take the Ceres bus with sign board "Dumaguete" (from Cebu South Bus Terminal). The bus itself will roll onto a barge and drop you off in Dumaguete boulevard port. Travel time approx. 5 hours.
The street food stalls set up along the boulevard is a must to visit when you are in Dumaguete eating tempura with cool sea breeze and free live music heard from some bars nearby catalyzed even more satisfaction is a wonderful amazing experience. Every BBQ stall sells the same stuff: tempura, fish balls, and balut. Always a street food lover for me nothing beats tempura (ahhhhh) just thinking of the food right now makes me hungry, sorry if I dont have any picture of the street foods since I'm busying eating and talking to my crush that time (ahahahah). And aside from food stalls in boulevard, one of the thing that you shouldn't missed out when you visit Dumaguete it's Puto and Sikwati and I tell you it's one of the best breakfast you will ever had and it's located at their public market.
