It Was Weird at First
I initially found this anime weird when the earlier scenes displayed a young boy stealing garbage from the dump site. Eww, Like why? I was about to switch to another anime when generous me decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and watch one more episode.

On his way back, his guardian Regto was murdered, and he was framed by the people of the city.
