We had another interesting round of Chess yesterday! I couldn't write a post yesterday because I had to run immediately after the game to prepare for my test in school tomorrow.
So, I joined the big boys in the leaderboard yesterday and it felt really goodd. I was able to amass a total of 34 points and secured 5th place.
Here's how the final leaderboard looked:
-
🥇 Odnoobraz_bcm– 59 points (absolute beast mode!)@maestroask
-
🥈Dakods-16– 57 points
-
🥉 Tangible_ay – 42 points @tangibleay

As usual, let's highlight some of the games that are quite interesting and we could learn from 👇🏼
Yesterday's Game Highlights and Analysis
JUSTOLA VS IAMCHESSGUY01
I have a conviction of never giving up in life and it also applies in chess. In this game, its rational to just resign since I had lost my queen and my position was very bad. I chose to keep playing hoping to seize an opportunity to make a comeback. White first blundered his queen and then his rook, black seized this opportunity to turn the game around and then white resigned. It was a really interesting game for me.

JUSTOLA VS JAKI
I don't think I have ever been paired with @jaki01 . The alogrithm decided to match us up for the first time. Black beserked and the game commenced with white moving to e4 and black replied with the Nimzowitsch Defense. Black position was excellent, white tried to maneuver his pieces to seize an opportunity and maybe also win on timer but black was able to land a checkmate at exactly 5 seconds to his time elapsing.

GMDALODS-16 VS THEMADMAN4RMDASOUTH
Okay, this is interesting to watch. Both high rated players beserked as expected. Black was playing pretty good until he fumbled his rook and then his position got compromised which gave chance for white to take his pieces little by little (poco a poco), then black resigned which led to the end of the game
