This weeks chess competition was a blast even if fumbled most of my games ๐Ÿ˜ญ. Maybe we should blame my sleepy eyes. Next round, I'll try to not get trashed this much again.

Here's how the final leaderboard looked:

  1. ๐Ÿฅ‡ Odnoobraz_bcm โ€“ 54 points (absolute beast mode!) @maestroask

  2. ๐Ÿฅˆ MainFromSpain โ€“ 37 points @poseout87

  3. ๐Ÿฅ‰ Tangible_ay โ€“ 30 points @tangibleay

Now, let's dive into some game highlights and painful (yet fun) lessons from the tournament ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

Yesterdays Game Highlights and Analysis

JUSTOLA VS STUFFINGS

Ever lost a game that you had to just go back later to analyze and see at what point you messed up because you thought you played every piece right and you would win?
well, this is me. I had to go back to analyze this game. I initially had the advantage of both time as my opponent beserked and piece arrangement. There was series of blunders, starting from not taking the bishop and letting my king get trapped which eventually led to a checkmate. I commend my opponent, he's a really good player.

JUSTFAVOUR VS AJEDREZCLUB2T

I got really curious how the match between Justfavour vs Ajedrezclub2t led to @justfavour getting 5 points for the game. I had to watch the game to satisfy my curiosity. So both sides beserked. White had a solid arrangement but the huge blunder of moving his queen to d7 changed the whole dynamic of the game and he had to resign. Both players are good, but blunders like this is kinda expected when you beserked a 3+0 mins game, it's almost already like bullet with less thinking time.

SAMOSTICALLY VS DAKODS-16

I seem to get attracted to games that earn high points. I had to research the opening used by white. White opened with a Zuketort opening and @samostically replied with the Ross gambit. It's a pretty good opening as it helps for better control of the center and flexibility in building pawn structure. White was playing pretty well until the blunder of moving his pawn to b3, which led to the capture of the valuable rook. Black played incredibly well.
