A Visit to the Baltic Sea Part 2

Hi everyone!

In today's post, I have another series of photos for you from my visit to the Baltic Sea. You can find the previous report from this visit here. This time, these are photos from Gdynia, Babie Doly. This place is home to the Hexengrund torpedo station, already legendary among Polish landscape photographers. I'll probably write a separate post about the site itself. Here, I'll focus on the photography. Let's get started!

Cześć wszystkim! W dzisiejszym poście mam dla was kolejną serię zdjęć z wizyty nad Morzem Bałtyckim. Poprzednią relację z tej wizyty znajdziecie tutaj. Tym razem są to zdjęcia z Gdynia, Babie Doły. W miejscu tym znajduje się legendarna już wśród polskich fotografów krajobrazowych torpedowania Hexengrund. O samym miejscu zapewne napiszę oddzielny post. Tutaj skupię się na fotografii. Zaczynajmy!

The majestic torpedo house was beautifully illuminated by soft light. The sun was already very low, approaching sunset. I almost didn't make it in time.

Majestatyczna torpedownia w pięknym, miękkim oświetleniu. Słońce było już bardzo nisko, zbliżał się zachód. Mało brakło a nie zdążyłbym na czas.

Part of the breakwater, another frequently photographed feature in this location. I didn't have an ND filter with me to extend the exposure time and blur the water. It was also more of a walk with my wife than a photography session, and the photos were taken incidentally.

Część falochronu, kolejnego elementu w tym miejscu, który bardzo często jest fotografowany. Nie miałem przy sobie filtra ND, żeby wydłużyć czas naświetlania i wykonać dłuższą ekspozycję w celu rozmycia wody. Był to też raczej spacer z Żoną, a nie plener fotograficzny, a zdjęcia powstały przy okazji.

Here, the torpedo house and breakwater are together. They complement each other in the photographs, and together they provide a beautiful subject for photography and diversify the seascape of this place.

Tutaj już torpedownia i falochron razem. uzupełniają się na fotografiach i razem stanowią piękny temat do fotografowania i urozmaicają morski krajobraz tego miejsca.

One of the more interesting motifs of this spot: the breakwater leading the view to the torpedo bay. An ND filter would be particularly useful here to blur the water a bit. Maybe next time ;)

Jeden z ciekawszych motywów tego miejsca. Falochron prowadzący wzrok do torpedowni. Tutaj szczególnie użyteczny byłby filtr ND, aby chodź trochę rozmyć wodę. Może następnym razem ;)

Finally, two shots using the beach taken from opposite sides to achieve a different perspective.

Na koniec dwa ujęcia z wykorzystaniem plaży wykonane z przeciwnych stron dla uzyskania odmiennej perspektywy.
