Located in the central part of Vienna, in the Leopoldstadt district (the second district), between the Danube Canal and the Danube River, lies a vast city park that includes one of Vienna's most popular attractions – the Prater. This amusement park offers a wide range of attractions, including roller coasters, carousels, haunted houses, and much more. Both children and adults will find plenty of fun here.
In the past, the place where the park is located was the hunting grounds of the Habsburg Monarchs. In 1766 they were handed over to public use by Emperor Joseph II. In the following years, further recreational facilities were built, including one of the most recognizable object in the park - the Wiener Riesenrad. It is also one of Vienna's biggest attractions and one of the oldest Ferris wheels in the world. Approximately 60 meters high, it offers an excellent vantage point over the city. The construction was completed in 1897.

W leżącej w centralnej części Wiednia dzielnicy Leopoldstadt (druga dzielnica), pomiędzy kanałem dunajskim a Dunajem znajduje się rozległy park miejski, w którego skład wchodzi jedna z najpopularniejszych atrakcji Wiednia - Prater. Jest to wesołe miasteczko, w którym oddać się można wszelkim zabawą oferowanym przez kolejki górskie, karuzele, domy strachu i wiele innych. Zabawę znajdą tu zarówno dzieci jak i dorośli.
Na terenach dzisiejszego parku niegdyś znajdowały się tereny łowieckie monarchii Habsburgów. W 1766 roku zostały przekazane do użytku publicznego przez cesarza Józefa II Habsburga. W kolejnych latach zaczęły powstawać kolejne obiekty rekreacyjne w tym punkty gastronomiczne. W latach 1895-1897 na terenie parku powstał najbardziej rozpoznawalny obiekt całego kompleksu, będący również jedną z najważniejszych atrakcji Wiednia - diabelski młyn Wiener Riesenrad. Jest on jednym z najstarszych tego typu obiektów na całym świecie i znajduje nieopodal wejścia do parku. Mierzy około 60m wysokości i stanowi doskonały punkt widokowy na miasto.

Another interesting attraction in the complex is the 117-meter-high Prater Tower. It's a chain carousel perched on a tall tower. If you're not afraid of heights, I highly recommend it, as the views from the top are spectacular. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of this attraction.
For those who aren't fans of this type of entertainment, there are other options. You can simply walk in and admire the entertainment facilities, enjoy the numerous food and beverage outlets (I recommend grabbing a draft beer), or simply take a stroll around the park.

Kolejną ciekawą atrakcją kompleksu jest wysoka na 117 metrów Prater Turm. Łańcuchowa karuzela umieszczona na wysokiej wierzy. Jeśli ktoś nie ma lęku wysokości, to gorąco polecam skorzystać z jej usług, gdyż widoki z góry są wspaniałe. Niestety nie posiadam zdjęć tego obiektu.
Dla osób, które nie są fanami tego typu rozrywek czekają inne zajęcia. Można po prostu wejść i podziwiać rozrywkowe obiekty, skorzystać z licznych punktów gastronomicznych (polecam napić się lanego piwa), albo po prostu udać się na spacer po całym parku.

It's especially beautiful here when it gets dark outside. Everything is spectacularly illuminated. Christmas markets are also held here before Christmas. Admission to the complex is free; you only pay for the attractions. Near the entrance is the Praterstern metro station, which serves the U1 and U2 lines. Numerous buses also run here, making it easy to get here from other areas of Vienna. Traveling by public transport in Vienna is made easier by the fact that a single ticket covers all forms of public transport (city bus, tram, and metro). Just be careful not to exceed the travel time allowed by your ticket.

Szczególnie pięknie jest tutaj, kiedy na zewnątrz robi się już ciemno. Wszystko jest zjawiskowo oświetlone. Przed świętami Bożego Narodzenia odbywają się tu również jarmarki świąteczne. Wstęp na teren kompleksu jest bezpłatny. Płacimy jedynie za atrakcje. Nieopodal wejścia znajduje się stacja metra Praterstern, która obsługuje linie U1 i U2. Kursują także liczne autobusy, a więc łatwo się tutaj dostać z innych obszarów Wiednia. Podróże komunikacją po Wiedniu bardzo ułatwia fakt, że na wszystkie formy transportu publicznego (autobus miejski, tramwaj, oraz metro) jest jeden bilet. Trzeba tylko pilnować, aby nie przekroczyć czasu podróży, jaki dany bilet umożliwia.
