ENG/ ESP Crochet ladybug earrings. / Aretes de mariquitas a crochet.

A premise that I always applied when making any accessory is; inspiration can come from anywhere and one of the main inspirational agents is nature.

Una premisa que siempre aplicó a la hora de elaborar algún accesorio es; la inspiración puede venir de cualquiera lado y una de los principales agentes inspiradores es la naturaleza.

Today I come to share with you the process of making these cute earrings with ladybug motif, whose inspiration came from a tender ladybug that my children found when we came back from school. Then I said to myself: why not, it could look very pretty if I make them in the shape of earrings. I got to work as soon as I got home, because those moments are often forgotten if we put them off too long.

El día de hoy les vengo a compartir el proceso de elaboración de estos coquetos aretes con motivo de mariquitas, cuya inspiración vino de una tierna mariquita que mis niños encontraron cuando regresamos de la escuela. Entonces me dije: ¿por qué no? Podría verse muy bonita si las realizo en forma de aretes. Me puse manos a la obra apenas llegué a la casa, porque esos momentos suelen olvidarse si los postergamos demasiado.

The shapes of this ladybug are basic. There are two links of 36 low stitches in the diameters, why two? because it turns out that by joining both discs, one on top of the other, the body of the earring is more rigid and these structures prevent the figure from deforming. We join both discs with slipped stitches. We must make four pieces, a pair for each earring.

Las formas de esta mariquita son básicas. Son dos vínculos de 36 puntos bajos en el diámetros. ¿Por qué dos?; porque resulta que al unir ambos discos, uno sobre otro, el cuerpo del arete queda más rígido y estas estructuras evitan que se deforme la figura. Unimos ambos discos con puntos deslizados. Debemos hacer cuatro piezas, un par para cada arete.

Then we knit 4 discs of 18 low stitches. One pair for each earring and these will be the basic shapes for the head. We assemble the antennas with three beads on a costume jewelry wire, we wind the wire and repeat the process to make the second antenna. With this piece assembled, we place it in the middle of the two disks of 18 low stitches and with slipped stitches we join them so that they remain inside the head.

Seguidamente tejemos 4 discos de 18 puntos bajos. Un par para cada arete y estas serán las formas básicas para la cabeza. Armamos las antenas con tres mostacillas en un alambre de bisutería, enrollamos el alambre y repetimos el proceso para hacer la segunda antena. Con esta pieza armada, la colocamos en medio de los dos discos de 18 puntos bajos y con puntos deslizados las unimos para que queden dentro de la cabeza.

On a chain of 8 stitches we make an increase in the second stitch and continue with single crochet until the last available stitch of the chain where we make three increases. We continue with single crochet along the chain where we make two increases in the last stitch two y and close with slip stitch. In the second row we make an increase and continue with single crochet until we reach the end of the chain where we make three increases in the three available stitches and continue with single crochet until we reach the last two stitches where we make two increases. We work it all in red yarn.

Sobre una cadena de 8 puntos realizamos un aumento en el segundo punto y seguimos con puntos bajos hasta el último punto disponible de la cadena donde hacemos tres aumentos. Seguimos con puntos bajos a lo largo de la cadena donde hacemos dos aumentos en el último punto dos y cerramos con punto deslizado. En la segunda vuelta hacemos un aumento y seguimos con puntos bajos hasta llegar al extremo donde hacemos tres aumentos en los tres puntos disponibles y seguimos con puntos bajos hasta llegar a los dos últimos puntos donde realizamos dos aumentos. Todo lo trabajamos en hilo rojo. alambre de bisutería, enrollamos el alambre y repetimos el proceso para hacer la segunda antena. Con esta pieza armada, la colocamos en medio de los dos discos de 18 puntos bajos y con puntos deslizados las unimos para que queden dentro de la cabeza.

We sew some black stitches over these ovals that will be the wings. We place each thing in its place with cold silicone and a couple of chain links plus a hook for the earring.

Cosemos unos puntos negros sobre estos óvalos que serán las alas. Colocamos cada cosa en su lugar con silicón frío y un par de eslabones de cadena más un gancho de anzuelo para el arete.

This is how this cute and curious pair of earrings in the shape of ladybugs is finished. I give great to the Creator because today he brought me inspiration through these precious creatures, perhaps small and even some go unnoticed but when we are lucky enough to find one, no doubt they will make us smile.
