HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE
I've had a few busy days again, I'm trying to keep myself motivated and think more positive.
We are still dealing with Mika and And her health problems, she's had so many blood tests and scans and yet still trying to find out what's going on with her. We do think it's Cushings disease but we have just found out there are 2, one comes from the Pituitary Gland the other from the Adrenal Gland. We have tested the Pituitary now the Vets want to do another test, this one is an 8 hour test where she has to stay at the Vets for the full day so they can do blood tests through the day. I managed to get through the 4 hour test but don't think I want to put her through 8 hours, if anything happened to her there I could never forgive myself. She's old so we are just going to let her live her life, she's not in pain so we can manage the toilet runs through the night.
We still give her a Gabapentin tablet at night which helps her sleep better, we do have to keep the fan on all night or she over heats. She's such a cute little girl but with getting old she does quickly get annoyed with our other pup Luna as she wants to play. Mika will growl at her then sneak off to bed upstairs. We have a couple of cooling blankets lying around, Mika will always find one, they really help to keep her temperature down.
CHANGING THE SUBJECT
I don't speak to my family so never see anyone, my hubbys family are friendly but not close so seeing them is very rare. We had a lovely visit from my hubbys twin and his wife plus there little pup Teddy. We haven't seen them for so long, they have very busy lives. We were supposed to go out for food at the beach but the weather let us down plus my hubbys twin wasn't feeling good, they stayed for coffee , he then looked around our house to see what we have changed, he lived with us for a while when he was younger, he was impressed with what we have done. We had a good chat to catch up. Life gets in the way sometimes, time flies by far to quickly, we all have to do better.
I'm having a rest day today, hopefully getting my haircut later, its handy hang around hairdresser living with us but I still have to wait as she is very busy, my hair is desperate for a cut. I have another busy day tomorrow, we are going to see my granddaughter. Can't wait.
